it is so liberating to be free of the clutches of a jcarter flamefest. i recommend you all try it. he reminds me of one of my favorite sayings "just when they thought they had all the answers... I changed the questions" ~roddy piper

Re: Hockey East 2010-2011

Are you one of those people who just have to get the last word in?

I didn't even make a freakin' argument in the last post. The answer, however, is no. So please go ahead and post something and we'll call it the last word.

Oh, I have been done with it for a while now, you are the one that keeps blathering about. I even said I agree with you, which really makes it kind of confusing.

Re: Hockey East 2010-2011

Oh, I know the difference between fact and opinion. Saying you are an idiot is clearly a "fact".

Here try this ,

I think you are an idiot
v.
you are an idiot

Which is which ?

" I think you are an idiot" is a fact. See, I really do think you are an idiot. On the other hand "you are an idiot" is my opinion, I havn't seen your IQ/SAT/GRE's or anything else that would back that statement up, so it is merely my opinion. With the first sentence I was speaking to what I think and I in fact do believe you are an idiot. I can only assume you are also a minority, as I can see no other way Brown would have accepted you. You will note: that is neither a fact nor an opinion, but merely a guess. A hypothesis (look that up if you need to) if you will based on observation and deductive reasoning.

Joining Chris McCarthy on BC's hit list this year:

Adam Clendening
Cody Ferriero

McCarthy actually faired pretty well against BC last year 2g and 1a in 3 regular season games, leading to two wins.

Maybe Ferriero and Clendening will walk away with similar results.

Sounds great. Maybe all 3 can gather some place in April to watch BC get similar results in the Frozen Four. They can show each other pictures of the banners their teams raised for moral victories and RS wins over BC. Very exciting stuff.

Did McCarthy score any pts vs. BC in the semifinals at the Garden? Ya know, against that putz goalie John Muse?

It's clearly option B.

Genius, obviously calling someone an "idiot" isn't a fact, it's an opinion. Clearly you are too stupid to get at what I was saying. Perhaps you had a tough time hearing it over the sound of a nail being hit right on its head by a hammer.

To answer you question, yes, I am a minority and second, I am also your mother's new boyfriend, too. Have a nice day. Don't come knocking when her trailer is rockin' tonight, champ.

ps- "havn't". Precious

Re: Hockey East 2010-2011

With NU returning 5 out of their top 6 forwards, Qualier being healthy, and bringing in the best recruiting class in years I can't help but think we will be just good enough to be frustrating.

Which, of course, is a big change from recent history:rolleyes:

In all seriousness though, I don't think its an unreasonable goal for NU to reach the Garden this year. I think BC and Maine will finish 1 and 2 and will not have much trouble with the 7 or 8 seeds in the first round. However, I think that those 3 vs. 6 and 4 vs. 5 match-ups may very will be toss ups.

I have a lot of confidence in Rawlings, however I am very worried about the defense. Unless one or more of the freshman emerge like Jake Newton did last year I don't see a first pair defensemen on this squad.

NU will definitely be interesting. You know what you're gonna get from the offense and goaltender, but that defense is right there with Maine's and UNH's goaltending situations as the biggest question marks heading into the season. If it steps up, the Garden's definitely attainable. If it doesn't, NU will likely be that 7 or 8 seed you mentioned that BC and Maine won't have any trouble with.

Re: Hockey East 2010-2011

Question for UVM fans.

According to this site http://www.seasonticketwaitinglist.com/2008/01/vermont-catamounts-mens-hockey-season.html

UVM has plans to build a new larger arena to accommodate everyone on the waiting list. So if this is the case why hasn't it happened? I mean with such a long list it'd seem like a no brainer bring in a ton of revenue and help increase the size of their fanbase. Plus it would help out HE by having another state of the art arena to showcase.

Men's hockey at the University of Vermont can be compared to football at Alabama
That's quite the opening line
