Hobey Hutton at Boston College, Saturday, 1/18/14

Re: Hobey Hutton at Boston College, Saturday, 1/18/14

you're right... i was just thinking who they had left in general... pc and mc at home

Re: Hobey Hutton at Boston College, Saturday, 1/18/14

aside from on the PP, maine has generated next to nothing tonight. that and being down a few, gendron went with the dennehy gameplan of floating a forward near center ice when the puck was in maine defensive end.

really this could have been 8 or 9 goals from bc.

not sure what your PP stats were coming into tonight but i thought it was your lone bright spot tonight (well that and hobey hutton of course). a lot of zone time and good at getting pucks through traffic and to the net.

Re: Hobey Hutton at Boston College, Saturday, 1/18/14

BC is surely hitting their 2nd half stride. They are gonna walk away with Hockey East.

BC
PC
UML
UNH
Northeastern
Maine/ND
Vt
Umass
etc etc

i wouldn't be too upset over this. you know bc wanted another crack at the bears. not bad for a soft one line team.

Well I predicted 8-1 BC in the Maine thread. Was kinda joking but I guess it's not so funny now.

Re: Hobey Hutton at Boston College, Saturday, 1/18/14

I had the same problem with the broadcast. I gave up on it. Turns out to be a good thing as I am not sure I would have cared to listen to this one given how it turned out.

Oh well. A good learning experience for a young squad. No free lunch. ;)

Re: Hobey Hutton at Boston College, Saturday, 1/18/14

I am stunned that Ouellette and Sullivan gave up 7 goals.

Obviously , Maine's defense provided little help.

Re: Hobey Hutton at Boston College, Saturday, 1/18/14

I though Maine was worse than their record showed going into this weekend. Predicted one point this weekend (from UML), but I had BC winning 5-2.

Their road record is pathetic.

Re: Hobey Hutton at Boston College, Saturday, 1/18/14

Gaudreau only had 7 points this weekend....so soft.

If he was any good he would have got 10.

Re: Hobey Hutton at Boston College, Saturday, 1/18/14

Overall I thought BC and Maine played a very even first period. The goal that they allowed Maine to score was a joke and Gaudreau regardless of him scoring 5 points needs to be shown the tape of that decision to skate away from a puck he was closest to so Hayes could chase it and look for him on a breakaway. Foolish.

BC went berserk in the 2nd period again like last night. Not much that can be done there when they turn it on like last.

Guys that stood out for Maine... Higgins had a puck put fivehole on Demko in the first that Demko somehow managed to swipe after it got through and trickled wide of the net and had a goal... Cam Brown was fantastic on the forecheck particularly Matheson. Lomberg needs a haircut and looks ridiculous with that mop hanging out of his bucket.

a little late now, but i used to take the orange line to oak grove every day... not that bad, was never worried.... if you're concerned, drive to wellington, park in the garage, take the tram over to the station and head in....

geesh, you are more at risk at Wellington and even there it's no issue. Done the orange line and commuter rail from Melrose/Malden into town/Fenway my whole life. I dont know where you people get your crime information from but it's not accurate at all

Lomberg looked like a young Ron Jeremy!

Hard to believe this is the same team I saw in Orono. Jekyl and Hyde personality team.
