He's dead, Jim.

Re: He's dead, Jim.

Never got really into Static-X (the only industrial metal I ever enjoy is Rammstein, it seems) but the song "Push It" is pretty fun.

Edit: I saw them live once at a rock festival. They were fun to watch, even if my ears were bleeding halfway through the first song.

This implies that Paul is the least talented Beatle. And that's just wrong.

It's probably his, "I hate any movie that was popular" mindset kicking in. :D

Paul was just as instrumental in the success of the Beatles as John (whether or not you preferred John's writing notwithstanding, of which I was pretty much down the middle on the two), but George did get shorted imho and Ringo is a much better musician than a lot of people recognize.

I don't hate any movie that was popular.

Just the bad ones. :p

And burying Paul last was a joke. Boy, you folks are sensitive. I am all for burying Paul as soon as possible.

I was listening to a rock n roll drummer from the 80s (forget who now as the interview was a couple years ago) giving an interview and he mentioned the genius of Ringo did within that band. He said that he here's Ringo pulling back the tempo on most Beatles songs while the other three are trying to push it ahead, causing some of the distinctive sounds we got from them. I don't have an ear for it, so I would never be able to claim to hear it, but it's interesting to get a professional's take on the matter.

However, Ringo would still be least talented in the Beatles. The others were all multi-instrumental, each able to take lead vocals and not having it create a self-depricating sound, and were able to write just fantastic songs.

Re: He's dead, Jim.

Ringo was fine. But, I do like how when John and Paul were asked "Is Ringo the best drummer in the world?" John replied with "Ringo isn't the best drummer in the Beatles." Which was probably true, given how talented the other three were.
