Re: He's dead, Jim.

That's a bit misleading; they're just retiring the original version, the one from before the times of the Nano and Touch. And that's a bit unfortunate for some out there because it had a storage capacity somewhere near 300GB, IIRC.
So it's in Zsa Zsa mode then?

Re: He's dead, Jim.

Also his older brother. His daughter told him to sod off. Nasty piece of work, that guy.

Degrees of Kevin Bacon: my father helped engineer the SOSUS system that Walker's activities compromised.

Who is worse, Alger, Julius, Ethel, Jonathan Pollard, et al who sold out their country for an idea. Or Walker and Aldrich Ames from the CIA et al, who did it for money? In any case, Julius and Ethel were the only two to get the appropriate punishment.

Joe Torre's older brother and inspiration, Frank Torre. :(

Frank Torre, who had lived 18 years with a transplanted heart, and who had a kidney transplant in 2007, died Saturday in Palm Beach, Fla., Major League Baseball announced. He was 82.

...played first base for seven seasons in the major leagues and hit a pair of home runs for the Milwaukee Braves when they defeated the Yankees for the 1957 World Series title.

James Traficant, former congressman, ex-con, and wearer of the worst rug in recorded history, is in "very critical condition" after a tractor accident.
