Gotta love those classy students from Merrimack...especially the one that almost hit the woman in the head while he was waving that stupid flag around like an idiot.

Yeah. I had some good times with BC fans when working in Boston for a few years. They're all right. The BC hockey team on the other hand... gave us nightmares over the decade. Just seeing Brian Boyle's name in an earlier post brought back bitter memories :D

Anyway, I think we all can agree that the common denominator in these things is always Merrimack? Merrimack fans say things have changed since Serino was canned but obviously that is not the case. Thug program. Can't play the game straight up so you resort to thug tactics. Never mind te endless stream of 20 year old freshmen coming in.

That happens to have its own rink? What does that even mean? Also, Lawler has the exact same dimensions as Alfond. But what coach wouldn't recruit to fit his own rink? They'd be stupid not to. You do realize it's not easy for Merrimack to attract the best recruits, right? If your six seniors are already thinking about pro hockey, my money is on Merrimack tonight.

So, someone who almost accidentally hits someone with a flag (I'm assuming it was a Merrimack school flag)...that makes them classless?

he was charged with possession of alcohol by a minor...

and how many bc kids got booted from the program after the car they were in got hit by a green line trolley and they all scattered? my recollection it was milner, samuellson and wey... they were all cited for possession by a minor...

nice of you to selectively remember things like that...

No, smuggling beer into their opponent's rink took care of any concerns over whether they were classless or not.

I don't impute overly broad characteristics from my few run ins with Maine students/fans so try not to do the same...well maybe I should.

Last year at Lawler I had some nasty creature in a 20 year old Maine jersey with food stains all over it spilling over the arm rest into my seat spill mustard all over me. I take more offense to someone like that than a student drinking a few beers but hey that's me. Sorry your "family" atmosphere is getting soiled...but then again that creature from the black lagoon didn't apologize for soiling my pants....

Having your own rink is that all that seperates MC from being the Bentley of Andover......with lesser academics..and what is on paper and what is real in dimensions are 2 different things.....

As I said in the Maine thread, if it wasn't a big deal the Alfond staff wouldn't care. The fact that they've said something (and said it to the media) indicates it is slightly more than just a few kids. But, hey, it's college kids! No big deal!

I think we've hosted every team in Hockey East for the QF round...I don't recall running into this issue with those big bad fans from the Boston schools or Durham. Did any UMass or Lowell fans smuggle in beer?

next time I will just puke on you... don't like my old maine jersey.
at least there ARE fans with 20 year old maine jerseys.
the only Merrimack fans with 20 years of anything are the fat guy with the johnson jersey that has infinitely more food stains on it than MY Maine jersey, the 70 year old indian guy, and the 75 year old physician with the cow bell...

(see... I really DO know it all)...
