David Brooks of the Times wrote about a certain vanity displayed by those who assert absolutely, positively what they would have done in similar circumstances.

I was absolutely astonished about Mark Wahlberg saying that if he was on Flight 93 then he would have landed the plane safely after they took out the terrorists! Did he not realize that the passengers tried to do exactly that? What a donkey's posterior!




PS I did not realize there was such a widespread belief that the US Air Force shot down Flight 93 until I did a google search to get the flight number for this post.

Nobody should ever forget the courage shown by the passengers on Flight 93. As I understand it, they came pretty close to regaining control of the plane. The thought of that 6'6" gay Jewish rugby player with a handful of the face of one of those mother effers warms me up to this very day. Wahlberg is a no talent putz, what did you expect? As to the AF shooting down the plane, that sounds like internet conspiracy b.s. to me. "Let's role."
