Re: He says he's not dead.

My first TV encounter with Mike Wallace was watching re-runs (maybe they were 1st run in the early 60's) of Biography. The History/Biography/whatever channel chopped them up to remove his visage which is like removing Don Pardo from Saturday Night Live.

Emille "Butch" Bouchard, former Captain of the Montreal Canadians, 92.

Also, Robin Gibb back in the hospital. Check your pools. He has pneumonia.

Joe-It is much more than pneumonia. He and his twin brother Maurice have had a long history of all sorts of bowel disease-Maurice eventually succumbed to it(called a twisted bowel). Looks real bad for Robin as he is in a coma apparently.

M, played by Judi Dench in the James Bond series, will die in the next film (Skyfall) according to the New York Post.

At the end of the day, my father used to say pneumonia is the leading (immediate) cause of death. I saw a recent picture of Gibb and he looked like an Andersonville survivor.

Correct-especially with celebrities and other famous people-often the true or underlying cause of death is never mentioned. This is why using death certificate diagnoses oftens skews the medical data. A brief look at the Gibb twins medical history tells us that both had a plethora of medical problems, any one of which could have been the etiologic event. Their brother Andy's death was listed as heart failure but i have strong suspicions that the cause was something else.
