Harvard Crimson Women 09-10

Re: Harvard Crimson Women 09-10

Hard to be in the Girl's / Women's Hockey world without at least knowing who this one is, never mind what she's capable of on the ice. Here's an article from the Comittments page for starters. She's also competing in the 2010 U-18 Women's World Championship in Chicago as we speak. There are game stas on that thread if you're interested in seeing how she performs at the elite level in her age group.

Recent article in the Chicago Tribune re: Kendall Coyne...

I actually have a life that doesn't revolve around women's hockey. I'm sure that's hard for some on this board to fathom but it is what it is.

I actually saw a box score recently where she scored a hat trick for the US 18 and under team in international competition.

Hmmm...1549 posts and apparently a fan of Harvard, and you are not aware of the exploits of Coyne ?.....Her exploits and talents have been discussed about on this very board for years....She is considered by most "The top prospect from the US" in the current recruit class....

And she is right up there on the leader board with 9 goals in 3 games:

Not apparently. Am a fan of Harvard. What does my number of posts have to do with following the exploits of a high school hockey player? I don't doubt her qualifications but I have yet to see numerous posts on this young woman posted on the Harvard thread.

Like I said, I've got a life outside of USCHO. I didn't know who Sarah Vallaincourt was before she came to Harvard and I don't think that has anything to do with the price of skates.

If you are a diehard fan, you would have been aware by now of the various posts and links to articles posted over the last year on this very board WRT this player possibly heading to Harvard. If you did not notice, you sure had the blinders one. She is the most sought after recruit coming out of the US this year.

You know it's really amazing that so many posters here can't read. Did I or did I not post that I have a life and that women's hockey while great to watch and follow on USCHO, does not dominate my life?

Being a diehard fan has nothing to do with keeping up with postings on any one player. And yes, I AM a diehard fan and I don't have blinders on.

Re: Harvard Crimson Women 09-10

We'll need her next season after losing Kathryn Farni and Cori Bassett. I was hoping for another D to add depth but it doesn't look like we'll have that luxury next season. Unless someone moves back from a forward position.

I'm wondering if Jen Brawn got redshirted and will come back for another season. She wasn't introduced during senior night and that led me to think she might have opted to get a waiver much like Mark Benning of the men's team.

According to the commitments list Harvard has 2 D incoming to replace the 2 D graduating: Gedman and Young. Both played for the US U18 team, so I'm sure defense will not be a problem.

Quoting myself from men's forum, because some of this will be of interest to women's hockey fans:

As promised, here's tomorrow's schedule on WHRB.

Of interest to hockey fans:

and then

3pm-7pm: Top Shelf
A lot of new material mixed in with some Classic Top Shelf moments, and some talk about the future of the show.
