Harvard Crimson 2016-2017

Makes sense. Michigan runs more of a mercenary program so probably a better fit for a 1-2 year rental.

I wonder if Wilde didn't have the grades to make it through admissions? This is usually the time of year when players have had their on campus interviews in preparation for the "highly likely" letters that go out in October.

Academics Could be an issue. Michigan is a good school but they don't have the 1 STD Dev rule that Harvard has to comply with.

Harvard isn't a good fit for a 1-2 year rental and never has been. BU, Mich, North Dakota - this is their game and they play it well.

I don't know the cause, but my gut tells me it isn't academics.

Re: Harvard Crimson 2016-2018

With the Crimson thread continuing nicely into the new season, I attempted to re-title it on my first post to reflect 2016-1018, but it did not carry out to the thread overall. Perhaps we will need to start a fresh one for 2017-2018.

There is no way to change the overall title once the thread exists. One can change it for individual posts, but that is all.

Re: Harvard Crimson 2016-2017

Looks like Bode Wilde is no longer committed to Harvard. At least Heisenberg no longer lists Harvard next to his name. Have not heard of anything definitive about this, but Heisenberg generally has the recruiting pulse.

A big loss, but Harvard has a ton of blue line talent coming in. Wilde is a dual citizen (Canada & US) and Major Junior was largely believed to be a real possibility. Not sure if Wilde will opt for MJ or another college, but I am sure we will learn more over the coming days/weeks.

Oh cripes. Well if he was only coming in for one or two years, then yes, Michigan or MJ is probably a better place for him. Decommits happen. The Leblanc factor is still in play.
