Harvard Crimson 2014-15

Re: Harvard Crimson 2014-15

Jenner seemed like she played the entire game. She double shifted frequently and never looked tired or worn down.
It's too bad that Saulnier and Bunton missed such a big game. Hopefully they are back in three weeks for the rematch.

It was still a very good game and Cornell has enough talent to make it interesting against any team with the possible exception of BC. I thought Harvard should have used its depth more in this game to take advantage of Cornell's short bench. But it was close for pretty much the entire game so I can understand her reasoning for not playing the fourth line. Third line could have used more minutes - Mary Parker was on fire the whole game.

Thus have I heard-

Arm - Time record was made straight! Made to reflect reality. I fear. And Karma of Cantabs. Cantabs have no humility. Not HUMBLE- do not (even) recognize this ego state; the ego state that is humility. Not good! Not good. Like this fellow with soft- footballs. He get them at Memorial Stad.?

Likely, likely I fear. :o

Look for the Green to prevail. Look to the team rated lowest. ALWAYS look there (at the "Team in Green!").

AS it has been said- by me: earlier this season, Tell me I am no good; tell me I just don't have it this season Oh, tell me bad, things especially about my friends, have no faith in me. us, our team, coaches, fans ... whom Cantabs cant now defeat. Is it ? ? The Meek shall inherit the earth (& title?) as they remember and remember and remember and do another wind sprint after practice and another and another? Oh Fair Hartford - ten thousand fools have sadly wandered way away; shame themselves, are selfish.

:(

Remember karma, cantab- Buddha said the only thing that lasts is good works.

Where are yours? Oh, Bostainaise seek redress from this your malaise.

Look unto the hills whence cometh thy help- ;) Dartmouth, the college on the hill... "her Sparkling Noons the Crowding into Commons the long-white-afternoons the twilight glow; See by the light of many thousand sunsets Dartmouth undying- like a vision starts, Dartmouth- gleaming dreaming walls of Dartmouth- miraculously builded in our in hearts ...."

Yes, it is Sir, perhaps, a small college but there are those who love it!

Not only, not only in the Ecac and Ivy will we prevail but Nationally against upstate appleaknockers especially.

Hey pap, where have you been hiding out? What happened to the Dartmouth thread? I miss going over there and talking trash with you Upper Valley kids. I was in Hanover for the H - D game. Painful but I give props to Hudak for a very good game plan and for the Dartmouth girls for playing hard for sixty minutes and not giving up.

Okay, gang, it's guts ball.....10 games in 23 days including matches against the ## 5, 7, 8, 9 and 10 teams in the national polls and possibly the #1 as well!

Assuming the top ten teams (USCHO, RPI), if not the exact same rankings, stay the same for the next three weeks, and assuming a Harvard/BC Beanpot final, has any team ever had to play 6 of the top 10 in any given stretch of the regular season?

MN, WI, Harvard, BC

Harvard has way too much talent on paper...it's now translating to the ice.
good luck the rest of the way...except, of course, in a possible final for Beanpot.

Looks that way. Big game tomorrow night at Quinnipiac. Then the Beanpot vs. BU. Funny thing is that we may finish behind the Bobcats in the ECAC standings yet finish ahead of them in the national rankings.

Thanks for the kind words!

When the hockey gods are smiling, they apportion their favors on BC and Harvard equally, as in the '62-'63 men's season when all three games were decided by a single goal, two (if memory serves) went into overtime, and one school won the Beanpot and the other the ECAC crown (I forget which was which).

This year, it does seem we have a bit of climbing back to do in hopes of achieving similar parity but who knows, we can dream, it would be great to have two upcoming title matches to play with a Beanpot crown for one school and an NCAA championship for the other!

Just keep that Stack kid off the ice while we're on the power play in the bazillionth overtime, okay?

Fun fact: Lenny Ceglarski was my fifth grade teacher before he went into coaching....

Anna McDonald is the one to watch out for in that instance, but I'm sure she would be welcomed back to Bright now;)

Final Stats

Chestnut Hill, Mass.--Tenth-ranked Boston College women's hockey advanced to the 29th Annual Beanpot Championship Game by defeating the sixth-ranked Harvard Crimson, 4-3, in a triple-overtime thriller lasting four hours and 11 minutes at Conte Forum. At 14:13 in the third overtime period, freshman forward Anna McDonald slipped the winning goal into the net.

Re: Harvard Crimson 2014-15

Thanks, everybody. Wasn't it Stack who stole the pass, or was it Spillane? You can see I've tried to repress the memory....

Anyway, looking ahead, I've checked out the QU website and it appears that their video coverage is free: at least I tried an archived QU game and it was free.
Link to tomorrow's game is http://www.quinnipiacbobcats.com/sports/wice/2014-15/qu_womens_ice_hockey_vs_harvard

Quinny mens and womens hockey games are free on the internet. Enjoy.

Great hockey in those days. I was in high school then but my dad took me to a goodly number of games. Back in '63 was the era of Gene Kinasewich and Dave Johnston (Now His Excellency the Rt Hon. etc). I remember my dad always pointing those two out. I do recall some big game when Harvard won on a Kinasewich hat trick, cannot remember the opponent.
