I only knew this because I remember reading Cornell fans that were not in favor of it because it felt like it was only there for sports. Maybe my wording is wrong from how the program actually works though...it wasn't around when I applied to Cornell so I have no idea how it works in practice.
Cornell does not (more's the pity). HYP are on a separate plane with their aid packages, both for athletes and the student population in general. We have been closing the gap in recent years, but it still exists, and given the difference in endowments (and giving rates) it likely always will.
