Happy New Year!

Oh and Mich even Elmo is saying it was an explosion. In fact he and his cronies are bragging it contained the explosion. Ironic since the last thing you would want is to be in a car that will lock in a fire or explosion 100% frying you to death. (Which happened last week)

I saw the video- it wasn't an explosion. Elmo is making an excuse for something else.

It could have been intentional, but what I saw was the battery going up quickly, but not exploding. Even the secondary pops looks like battery cells quickly failing. It could have been some kind of tampering, but it was not some kind of explosive device. And explosion means that the flame front was going the speed of sound in the material- which is what causes the sonic boom/shock waves you see around explosions. Mind you, many people have joked about the Pinto, and that wasn't an explosion situation either- you get rear ended, ruptures the fuel tank, and that catches on fire. A very big and fast fire that could really hurt people, but it was a fire.

And yes, I'm being a sticker for accuracy here, but as I see it, it matters a lot. (I'm coming at this from a combustion standpoint- lots of people think there's an explosion in an ICE combustion chamber, and it's not- it's rapid combustion. When there is an explosion, it causes lots of damage in the combustion chamber- and it happens, it's what knock is)

If it were either an IED or an actual bomb that set it off- there would have been a LOT more damage than that. Even if it was a small explosive that started the battery to do that. The shock wave from even a small explosive would have shattered the glass that close by and bent the truck into a much different shape than a bulging battery pack.

What I saw was something that looked more like a dead short on the order of the power of a cybercoffin- a somewhere around 500V with a few hundred amps to get things hot really quickly setting off the rest of the battery.

Elmo claiming it was an "explosion" tells me that 1) he's deflecting a possible flaw in his product and/or 2) he's dumb enough to not know what an actual explosion really is. I can understand the media hyping it up, as they are looking for eyeballs and they probably have no idea what an explosion is. Elmo should be aware of how a battery will dramatically fail and how combustion is much different than an explosion- as he's seen enough really fast combustion event accompanying space x failures.

Again, I have no idea if that was intentional or not, but it wasn't an explosion. There was no shock wave to cause damage (which is the actual intent of an explosion). And not being an actual explosion matters because it means a flaw could have caused that.

Btw, the reason I’m being this way is that explosion = intentional. There is nothing on a car that will explode. Nothing. There are plenty of things that will catch fire is sometimes spectacular ways, so car makers make sure that’s as dangerous as it gets.

So IF it was an explosion, then it was an act of terrorism. Since it wasn’t, it’s still possible it was just a fault.

The usual suspects are loudly lying on FOX News that this Texas-born, military veteran, and US citizen, came strolling through the "wide open Mexican border."

The goulishness of them.

Definition of explosion from the dictionary: burst or shatter violently and noisily as a result of rapid combustion, decomposition, excessive internal pressure, or other process, typically scattering fragments widely.

There are plenty of scenarios where a car like a CyberCoffin can combust without it being terrorism...especially with a gas can in the trunk and a the way it deals with fire. All it takes is a spark.

You can be as pedantic as you want...the car burst into flames because of a combustion source...why would Elmo say otherwise only right wingers think that is a positive thing...

Active Duty Military is the guy that died in the Cybertruck. We must be failing our military hard. And we spend so fucking much.

Nothing? How about an Airbag? A carbon brake rotor? Or maybe GAS CANS * in the trunk of an ELECTRIC vehicle.

iu

Have YOU concluded this was terrorism so the rest of us can finally use the term? I guess the world is now outsourcing definitions to YOU.

*yes, technically THAT gas can didnt.

He also loved Trump...
The monster is starting to turn on the creator. President Musk struck into MAGAs worst fears and insecurities with the H1B issue and calling them r-tarded. Then Dump sided with Musk (because some debts are unavoidable) and now they’re starting to break.

I am on vacation avoiding the news but is the concensus he self immolated via CyberCoffin?

Sounds like the Trump hotel perp had special ops training that went beyond the crude IED he made. So...it could've been a lot worse?

Media reported an ISIS flag was seen on the vehicle, all subsequent video and photo footage of the suspects vehicle show no flag or markings.

For the record, it was an ISIS flag and he declared loyalty to them. Or something like that.

Anyways, pictures of the flag are out there.

It absolutely could have been. He had cans of nitromethane in the trunk. One step away from being a mini OKC.

He offed himself before the explosion with a .50 cal. probably had a fuse.

You should probably let the task force for NFPA 69 know. It's the standard for explosion prevention. They define it as
"The bursting or rupture of an enclosure or a container due to the development of internal pressure from a deflagration."
