Winning a Darwin Award to own the libs...

Re: Gun Control 1: Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang

I'm just really surprised all these "macho" men are aiming so high...

Re: Gun Control 1: Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang

Standing their ground, I assume. Black guy jogging in their neighborhood. Probable cause under GOP law.

Repeating to myself: don't judge on appearance, don't judge on appearance...

Probably get off on the "He just needed killin" defense.

Re: Gun Control 1: Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang

Are they thugs or do they need to be liberated?

lol. I'm kind of expecting someone to come along and let me know. This must be awfully confusing for the fat, bald, white Trumpie militia who were doing the EXACT same thing last week, to figure out how to feel about this.

It isnt confusing if you dont think...

Think about this what you will, but there's a movement to arm trans women; I am part of it.

Last Wednesday, I sat through a 7 hour session of city council meeting, and many of the comments against an ordinance adding LGBT+ to the employment and housing non-discrimination ordinance were thinly veiled threats against the trans community. In Holland, MI of all places. I don't know if these people have "Facebook Courage" or what, but from here on out, I plan on getting mace or pepper spray at least, and learning to shoot as I have time.

This is good. But: don't solely think a gun will protect you though. It's just one instrument of many you can use for self defense.

That being said, classes would be a great way to start. Or a group of knowledgeable friends who will teach you proper technique.

Firearms are all in the fit, feel, and familiarity.

Growing up I learned how to shoot .22 and enjoyed target practice. Didn't get a chance to get out again until a few years ago when some co-workers invited me out with them (and their mini arsenal). My co-workers let me shoot their .45, .357, 9mm, and .40 handguns, some I shot better. Some worse. Each have their own kick, sights, etc. With practice you will get better.

One co-worker then let me shoot his .38 lever rifle. I had the tightest grouping closest to the bullseye of all of us (from the years of firing lever .22's growing up). He was amazed I shot rifle so much better than handgun.

It takes a lot of practice and patience.

Just remember if you do have some friends take you to a range for some target therapy: keep the gun aimed down range away from you/everyone, treat it as if its loaded at all times, and respect what it can do.

I shot rifle much, much better than handgun. I think it was aesthetic: the rifle (a WW2 Italian carbine) was holding history; the handgun was just a death dildo.

I see cops decided to shoot another one in the back. Seems to me a pretty simple thing to stop doing.

And it seems pretty simple for me to stop eating entire cartons of ice cream.

Have some sympathy here, Scooby. It just feels so good.
