Grinding Away..Things that grind your gears, part three

Re: Grinding Away..Things that grind your gears, part three

The few times I've encountered *******es like this, I've made it a point to eat the raresest meat possible in front of them and let a couple dribbles of blood run down my chin. It also works with rare burgers when you let the bottom bun get soaked in blood while eating it. Then I throw in some unsavory deer hunting stories or go into detail on how we go about butchering our own deer.

I really like to point out how good and tender suckling pig is- and it has the crispiest skin evar!

bunnies = tasty.

Donald duck is one of my favorites.

Rabbit season/Duck season- I'll take BOTH!

Especially with foi..., I mean engorged goose liver.

You are the one whining about how you cant see enough Christmas around acting all persecuted and such...me I am fine with things just how they are :D Feel free to leave and move to Rome where you can say Merry Christmas and get your Christmas circle jerk on until your heart's content ;)

Must suck to be you sometimes, I mean the world is just not going to be the 1950's homogenized Donna Reed style you wish it could be. Don't worry though, those of us that live in the real world think it is always so cute when you old timers tell us about how things used to be...gosh aint it swell :D :p ;) :)

Have you actually read my posts on this subject? Or are your "brain" and mouth both on auto pilot? Where are you getting this notion that I'm pining for more Christmas? Must be some sort of delusion, because that's not what I've expressed. I have expressed only the observation that "happy holidays" has significantly replaced "Merry Christmas" on the lips of many Americans, period. And I've speculated that the reason for it is primarily political correctness. The rest of your rant is the product of your ignornant prejudices.

And the disrespect you and others have shown toward a holiday which over 90% of Americans observe would not be countenanced by you and other libs if directed toward another religion. Why do you suppose that is?

To me, the key to winter driving is simply common sense. It is obvious, for many reasons that most people have way too little common sense. I drove to Duluth on Saturday in that crap, did I have a problem? No, because I wasn't a dumb**** about it. At one point on 35 my rear end started coming around, hey guess what! If you take your foot off the accelerator, you regain control! Funny how people don't know basic driving skills.

I am NOT looking forward to the first snowstorm in the Chicagoland area for this reason. If the Minnesotans can't handle some snow, Chicagoans really won't be able to.

Most people aren't aware bb_dl that they should just let off the accelerator. Far too often, they'll panic and slam on the brakes, making the situation much much worse.

One of the best winter driving tips I ever got was "If you panic, it's too late."

So clever. And so original. You and the rest of the trolls need some new material.

As long as you keep repeating yourself, why shouldn't I? It's fun getting under the skin of people like you.

You must be so miserable. the conversation at the thanksgiving table must be a ball at your house.

Happy Holidays

Little known fact. Ebenezer Scrooge dressed up as Old Pio one year for Halloween.

A quick google search prooves you pretty wrong there- only about 78.2% of the US call themselves Christian, and therefore would observe Christmas as a religious holiday. 1.7% call themselves Jewish, and 2.9% combined of the rest, and a full 16.1% claim no religion.

So if 90% celebrate Christmas, over 12% of that are celebrating some kind of commerical holiday.

So? Even non-Christians who observe the secular aspects of the holiday aren't as disrepectful of other people's religion as you are.

Saying Happy Holidays is disrespectful now?

How am I being disrespectful of other peoples religion's? I'm recognizing that there are multiple ones that share the winter solstace, and want to make sure that you have a good one, regardless of the one you want to celebrate.

Seems to me that Happy Holidays is quite a bit more respectful to everyone than Merry X-mas.

Re: Grinding Away..Things that grind your gears, part three

Yes. Because that's clearly the point I was trying to make.

Which is that we should all bow down to the majority religion and tell everyone Merry Christmas regarldess of their religion???

"Christmas circle jerk" Respectful?

"Christmas circle jerk" Respectful?

Hey, if you want to do that in the privacy of your own home, feel free. Gather all of your crumudgen buddies- you'll have a very Happy Holiday Season, for sure.

Oh, and that's not an answer on how I'm being so disrespectful.

Re: Grinding Away..Things that grind your gears, part three

I've been off of the christian bandwagon since I was about 8 years old and learned to use my brain correctly, but I still say Merry Christmas to people, especially if I know its someone that would get ****ed off about it. **** the politically correct crowd, I hate them.
