I know you love her and all but her public record and what she says is atrocious, so I’m not surprised few left give her the benefit of the doubt
 
Susan Collins is not a moron or a naif. She is a smart, calculating, and wholly sociopathic person who is playing the angles.

It's too bad all Ted Cruz types don't look like Ted Cruz. But some of them look like a maiden aunt. They are still vicious and manipulative.

Collins is hiding behind her persona of a "sensible middle of the road just plain common sense old woman." But she is as much of a rat f-cker as Dick Nixon.

"The forces of democracy prevailed"? She's an utter moron. This has been the most embarrassing week for democracy ever, that I know of. I don't see how anyone with a soul can still identify as a Republican, whether or not you think a few of your Senate comrades might be a little too strident or whatever. Eradicating the Republican party is a matter of life and death.
 
A pardon question to the experts...

So I've seen one opinion that dumpy can pardon the entire mob from last week. (which would be interesting)....

And I've also seen that he can't pardon state crimes that have lead up to the mob- planning in various states, other state violations. Good odds that that happened.

But what about the District of Columbia? If there were specific DC laws violated, can the president pardon those? They are kind of a federal entity, not a state. That would cover rudi and the jr piles of dump. And perhaps dumpy himself- is the Ellipse on WH grounds, or is that part of DC? And since the mob moved down to the Capitol Building- they did walk in the district.

BTW, just saw a "headline" telling us that there's a massive rush on guns. Shocking the gun industry is taking advantage of this situation.

He can pardon for violation of DC laws.
 
Remind me again why there is executive pardon, ever, under any circumstances?

It is a wide open invitation to corruption. The only reason we have never seen such obscene and overt and widespread use of it for corrupt purposes has been there's never been anybody as evil as Dump in the office before. But executive pardon will always be a shiv. Take it away. Abolish it at every level down to school board.

NO ONE IS ABOVE THE LAW.

Crimes committed in D.C. would fall under a president's powers of executive clemency. I have no examples to give but I'm sure with all the pardons presidents have granted over the years there are examples of crimes committed in D.C. that were pardoned.

And good luck finding rounds for some of the firearms people are purchasing. I've given up trying to buy any ammo. But then again I don't have a closet full of AR-15s so I'm not in the market for .223 Remington rounds so maybe there is still plenty of that for the true fondlers out there.
