Grand Unified Election Thread 2: What is the difference between Biden and Dump?

The news covered that- no reports of charges. Not exactly sure of the legality of being armed at a threatening demonstration, but apparently the local sheriff though it was ok. Sounds like threats of terrorism is ok in places.

Unfortunately it's a public street and 1A/2A applies as long as they aren't brandishing the weapons at the home or trespassing onto the property. Sedition charges won't stick unless actual violence occurs. Best you could hope to get them for is citations for impeding traffic.

Now, if the protesters had been black and the SoS was a Republican...

Georgia recertifying Biden as winner. Again.

cue “I got you babe” in the background as bill murray repeats the same day again

Today is the voter registration deadline for the GA special election. Getting more eligible voters to register in time for this election is cheating, per the GOP.

What do you think the reaction would have been had Benson and her spouse came outside armed with an AR-15 and and a semi-automatic pistol (and of course displaying absolutely no trigger discipline)? Do you think the county sheriff would have immediately stepped in and arrested the SoS had she raised her arm and pointed the pistol in the general direction of the crowd? I'm asking for friends in St. Louis.

Open carry laws are ridiculous and must be revisited. It should be illegal in almost all instances unless you are hunting on approved land during the proper season, on your own property or with the permission of someone on their property, or transporting newly acquired firearms to your vehicle. I have never met a single person who "exercises" their open-carry rights in the manner that Benson found justifiably threatening that was not an enormous dooosh. Not a single, solitary one.

What about disturbing the peace? if they're loud enough.

I have no doubt . What a piece of shit

“President Trump is reportedly considering an elaborate departure from the White House to counter-program President-elect Joe Biden’s inauguration in January. The tentative plan would allegedly involve Trump departing on Marine One before flying to his primary residence in Florida for a 2024 campaign rally.”

I think every former President, at least in recent memory, has departed the White House on Marine One. That's kind of the process, I think. It's probably more surprising to me that Trump may actually participate in that, if in fact it's standard. Obviously, a campaign rally is out of the ordinary.

I took it to mean he’s not going to be at the inauguration at all, which isn’t normal

Things Not Looking good For The Kraken

I am not sure what is better...the fact that the GA Republicans in response to Trump's latest lawsuit not only made mention of the Kraken (to mock it) in their brief along with a footnote about its origins as a tall tell or the Appellate judges (who were on Trump's short list for SC) saying this about Lin wood:

"Wood’s arguments reflect a basic misunderstanding of what mootness is,”

This is getting good!

This doesn't bother me at all. I would prefer he stays as far away as possible. Because he would find a way to disrupt or make it all about him, or have his minions do something awful to disrupt it. Which they're probably going to do anyway. And to be honest, I don't want Biden anywhere near the White House until it is completely fumigated after tRump vacates the premises.
