Trump lost the iron range voters in MN by 16 points, after all his visits and blustering about opening the range back up.

Winning candidates always like to point out that this election saw more voters than ever before, and they usually frame it like it has something to do with them. In the last 22 presidential elections, a new record was set 18 times.

And NPR just had a Democrat from Michigan on who appeared to be trying to make the argument this election was as good as 2018 for Democrats. WTF???? 2018 was a GREAT night where did almost as much as we could, up and down the ballots. Historic gains in the House. Held our own basically in an extremely tough Senate map. Flipped some state houses and governors mansions. This year we saw the bare minimum. IF the results hold. I hate politicians.

I honestly could not participate today. Cliff notes version of odds and when a decision will be made not accounting for challenges?
 
Trump's lead down to 5 pts in PA, which is half of what it was early this morning. 85% reporting.

His lead in GA is down to 1.4 pts, with Dem heavy areas still TBR.
 
So the Trump train is a cult. He can turn out the deplorables like no other. How does that translate to support for someone like Ted Cruz in 4 years?
 
It would be great to see a buffer over the 270 threshold. Obviously there are no valid legal reasons for trump to contest ANY of the counts and none should be thrown out. But if any one state can be contested and make the difference it is sure to happen. If he has to flip 3 states even I would believe that to be beyond the reach of trump's grifting.

Arizona I think will be dropping more results in a couple batches throughout the night, and Nevada has decided to circle back around to this tomorrow.

It translates about as well as Navajo to Japanese. Cruz is a loser and isn't even all that well-liked by his own constituents.

I've been thinking about that today. The flags, the rallies, boat parades, etc. How many people came out simply because his name was on the ballot? Obviously the Dems did not have the night they were expecting, but they held a lot of the inroads they made in the 'burbs in '18. Trump was begging people to come out for midterms, and for the most part they did not.

im also wondering about a GA run-off. How much will they come out for a Trump lackey when he isn’t on the ballot?
 
GA, 94% of the vote in, Biden trails by only about 50,000.

Needs 65-67% of the remaining vote to win, of the vote that's been coming in today, he's been winning over 70% of it.

Doesn't. Trump's appeal is all about personality(I know, yuck). I don't know who the Republicans have who have that combination of meanness, bullying, and a certain toxic charisma that causes old fat white men to get a chubby for the first time in 15 years. But somehow, Trump has that appeal.

Cruz, for all his dooshness, is too liberal elite book-learning dweeb to inspire that sort of devotion. The only ones I can think of who might are Don Jr or Ivanka. know, right?

The Republican party truly has become the cult of Trump.
