Re: Gophers-Badgers: Not Good Enough for Mariucci
Given the Gophers current systems design, reverting to the "trap" only works temporarily and they have to shut down a good percentage of their playbook. They don't have enough offensive scoring power and diversity in their playbook to maintain that long term though. During the 2007-08 postseason it worked, but we're even currently 15 goals behind that pace this season.
UW will be coming in with a lot of momentum, if the Gophers can put one good game together this weekend that will be an accomplishment. Then if CC is swept by DU, we go to tBunker and hopefully apply the armbar....Yeah!!
Unless you employ the trap, so to speak.
MN made a sorta run in recent past, but they're trying to revert to that wide open style, and failing to adapt.
Anywhichway, I think we can outplay WI, it's a matter of IF we outplay WI.
Whoa, hockey talk on a Sunday????
Better dead than red! Go * some more deer! How's that paint thinner?
