I love the classy UMD chicks who flipped off Rau after his 2nd goal. Reminded me a the UND Hick against Mich! That was probably that RWD girl.

Well the refs did everything they could to give the game to the Dogs....Budish call was sooo weak and the no call on the trip in OT was brutal.

Agreed. Would prefer more consistency in erffort but a very good UMD had a lot to do with that and going toe-to-toe with them in their barn was good to see. Good character win.
And, you give those "past few teams" far too much credit. ;)

Enough of the crap slinging. That was a fun game to watch even with the goofy crap and sloppy play. Gophers ended up on top, could have gone the other way easily. Looking forward to tomorrow night.

Biddy is good people.

It was....an interesting game to watch. Thankfully it ended the way it did. Was it a clean win? No. But it was a win. I'll take it.

Yeah the Budish call was a joke which UMD scored on, we shouldn't have even needed OT to win.

Total wenches flipping Rau off... stay classy UMD fans.

They did score within 2 minutes, though, and I agree that the CFB shoulda been 2 minutes. However, losing a player like that for the rest of the game DOES affect the gameplay.

That being said, MN needs to play some Goddam defense.

It took 3+ years, but the Gophs finally showed some heart and didn't give up...FINALLY! Time to take it to the next level and finish the sweep tomorrow.

Gophers need to improve on breaking the puck out. The UMD forecheck was tough, but far too many dumps up the boards. One area where our inexperience at defense really showed. I was happy to see the increased puck movement on the power play though.

I know Biddy is fine. It is the others I worry about making this thread unreadable. After tomorrow nights game have at it! :)

Nice to see them win a game that they most likely would have lost the past few years. Fun game, fun rivalry (eff the BG10) I am sure the atmosphere there was awesome.

Don't care about good/bad penalties, the teams went toe-to-toe and there was plenty to go around. Look forward to tomorrow night, although I have to imagine UMD will be even more fired up and the young kids on MN will need to keep their cool.

As should Bjugstad; who didn't play his best tonight. When he's on, you EXPECT him to dominate play! With Budish back and Nick playing his normal game, plus sniper Rau on the wing, they will put the big hurt (can you say "SWEEP"?) on the Mutts.

I agree, although I saw WAY too much of the hopefully old Gophers in the 2nd and 3rd period.

Nice of the National Champs to let the "P" run down their leg.

EDIT: And Hoven, you don't get "clean wins" on the road against the National Champs. Doesn't happen.
