IKEA is the prosecutor, judge, and jury in Sweden now, or do all corporations have that authority when the criminals are towel-heads?

Oh, wait . . . one of your most reliable sources has it that IKEA is pressing to have charges dropped because the knife did it in the kitchen with Mr. Bazir.

The Swedes did stop a gay pride parade because it was anti Muslim.

It appears that Sweden's primary LGBT advocacy group came out against the parade because it was organized by a well-known right wing muslim hater who was using the gay community as cover for a parade specifically targeted for neighborhoods with a high percentage of muslims. Legitimate gay advocates saw through this as just more racial hatred intended to spread violence.

And what this has to do with a corporation making a business decision to halt the sale of knives for the time being is unclear. How it would play out here under NSPA v. Village of Skokie is a more interesting question. Not sure who stopped the parade in Sweden and under what rationale.

If they made fun of Catholics or Mormons nobody would give a poop. But can't offend the Muslims, they're special!

One of the goals of advancing ourselves as a society is to not return to the ways of our Mesopotamian ancestors, despite them being is present-day Iraq.

It doesn't matter if it was a knife, gun, rolling pin, or even the twine around the box. If the murderer wanted to murder, a way would have been found. Banning knives is not the solution.

I suspect the current Iraqis are as culturally and genetically distant from (or close to) the Sumerians as are most European descendants in the US. That's a crossroads that has had so much traffic there is basically nothing left of the original population or culture.

It's pretty hard to mass murder with a rolling pin, unless you're talking about gingerbread men.

Pretty sure he is. Throughout history, groups have gained power through the threats of violence. Too many specifics to give examples, but there is no place in this world that is immune.
