GLI - Watt's the forecast - Troppical Summers or McCleod on the horizon?

Re: GLI - Watt's the forecast - Troppical Summers or McCleod on the horizon?

I was so entranced by the thread topic title I almost forgot this was the official GLI thread. Hope we are at full strength (minus D'Amigo of course) so at least we can give the folks the best we have. Are any of these games telecast nationally so that Comcast Cable has them?

FSN Detroit will have the championship game. I don't know if it's a Comcastic channel.

Comcrap carries FSN-D locally, even on extended analog cable. I assume if you have digital cable with a big sports package, you'd probably have all or at least most of the FSNs.

I think I get it here in NJ. Would love to have driven up for the tournament-last time we drove up to Michigan for games was in March 1985 and was that trip ever worth it.

College Joe... Mitch Lake... College Joe... Mitch Lake... two or one of the same?

Re: GLI - Watt's the forecast - Troppical Summers or McCleod on the horizon?

Anyone know why MTU is playing in the first game of day 1 ????

Was this preferred by the MTU administration this year.

I remember last time when Jimmy Kerr put the final dagger in the last GLI win over MSU two years ago.

I sure hope Tech can play their best hockey in Detroit.

I noticed that and I have no idea why, unless Michigan pulled enough strings to get the evening game for their fans.

*shrug*

Jamie Russell stated a few years ago that it is a disadvantage to play in the late game on the first day due to shorter rest than your opponent on day 2 so it was his preference to rotate between the early and late game if possible...

Yes... there is VERY little resting time between the second game of day one and the first game of day two. :o

Owslacheifjeijfiej would be thrilled to know that I despise this thread name with every bone in my body.

We could lose EVERY REMAINING GAME this season except one... the very next one we play.... and I would consider the season a complete success.

Let's make that our short term goal. If we don't win the next one, we better shoot to win the rest. That would kind of make up for it.

Re: GLI - Watt's the forecast - Troppical Summers or McCleod on the horizon?

Last year, FSD screwed us all by only televising the championship game live. I seem to remember a tape replay of some bowling league holiday classic in place of the first day's games.

Anyone heard if we'll have any better luck this year?

From what I have heard, only the championship game will be shown. I wonder if they'll replace day 1 with high school basketball this time. Even ESPN has resorted to that. :P
