Rufo is also responsible for the CRT nonsense blowing up...he picks a boogeyman and gets his bot trolls to basically spam the BS into existence. And he openly brags about it and no one stops him. It is astounding.

FWIW though if Gay did plagiarize she doesn't really have a leg to stand on. (I have avoided the story because I hate that the GOP is using Jews to take down schools) Students can be thrown out of school for even minor screw ups when it comes to plagiarism, especially on dissertations, and it would be indefensible to have someone in charge who has done the same thing. It sucks that she is the victim of a Right Wing attack but that doesn't make her less guilty. And I don't think any school would let her "go back and change things" after the fact...maybe if she was a tenured prof or something but she is the friggin head of the school...and an Ivy League school at that. If they found this in the course of normal events they likely get rid of her too they just keep it quiet.

I have no issue with most of what she said in front of Congress so I didn't want her to resign over that. But no one should be running a college who can't even properly cite information in their doctoral dissertation...christ Microsoft Word will friggin do it for you that is Freshmen Comp level stuff.
 
Gay didn't do herself any favors regardless of accusations of plagiarism:

She should have had a more clear message from the onset and not only after "falling for a trap" before Congress.

I read an interview that he gave to someone about his methods. It was actually fairly interesting. I'll see if I can find it and post a link here.

If I recall correctly, he said that after he picks his subject or his target, he and others on the right begin the public campaign, as you noted. But he told the interviewer that the campaign by him and his followers will never be enough, it won't be successful in achieving the goal that is his target. He says he can only do that if he can get the story to come through what he describes as "left wing media and social media."

After he and his followers have made it public, he then starts working the left wing, feeding them information, etc..., essentially "guilting" (I think was his word) them into picking up the story, which then gives cover to left leaning journalists, social media leaders, politicians, etc..., to comment on the topic, which then gives it the traction they need.

It was interesting to hear about the strategy.

We could cut rightwing influence by 90% by embargoing all of their derp. Repeat none of it. Cite none of it.

Erase them. You don't argue with an 8-year old, and conservatives are perpetually 8. This explains their sexual preferences.

I'm guilty of reposting their idiocy to make fun of them, but that's a tool they use. We can find plenty of positive things from our people to post.

Ignore them. Dare I say -- replace them.

That disappoints me. Not that Muslim women can't be morons just like everyone else, but it means there is an Echo Chamber in the vicinity of Palo Alto telling those women 10/7 was a PSYOP -- a Muslim counterpart to Fox News. And that is sad, because those women's families probably came here to escape the brainwashing of their own societies and give them a chance at a breath of free air.
