It's been building for some time now. Yale was a very good team in 2011, and were it not for a questionable major penalty, may have won it all. Last year, Union represented the conference well, and Cornell came within a goal of the Frozen Four. Now this year.
Not ready to crown them yet. That's all.![]()
Obviously there is still plenty of time in this one for SCSU to come back. However, I'll place my money on QU at this point.![]()

I'm talking overall conference quality.
RE: HE: Read my logo much?Yep. One year, and they are now the best conference ever. WCHA/HE are total hack conferences.
Pray for rain. The Cloudiacs need to bring in a middle reliever, who can hold QU scoreless for the next few innings, while the oh-fence chips away at the lead one run at a time. Okay. I know, I know. It aint gonna happen.![]()
One title doesn't make the ECAC the premier league in college hockey (if they do in fact win it), but it does pretty much prove that the power in college hockey has definitely shifted from West to East.
Well I wouldn't quite go that far. But 4 of the last 5 (and likely 5 of 6) is at least a start at redressing the past. One title doesn't make the ECAC the premier league in college hockey (if they do in fact win it), but it does pretty much prove that the power in college hockey has definitely shifted from West to East.
What was the record of all the WCHA teams in the tournament? From top to bottom? No. Half the WCHA made the tourney this year. As a whole (key phrase), the power remains in the west. That should (and will) probably change next year, however.
