Frozen Four: Don't Forget To Bring Your Parka!

Re: Frozen Four: Don't Forget To Bring Your Parka!

Outside Bootlegger's. I hear "Brenthoven, don't get hit by--" boom, I get hit, take off the rearviewmirror. I pop right up, the driver is now outside the vehicle, and I say "Here's you're rearviewmirror." She goes nutzoid, threatening to call the cops. I tell her to go right ahead. She still is going nuts. Cops come, fill out accident reports (which btw don't explain how it happened, it's just info on who/where).

Was told insurance companies would handle it. She calls about 10 minutes ago, asking if I could get to the auto shop today. I say no, please call back tomorrow afternoon. She goes ballistic again. *ing whore.
Look both ways before crossing, dumbass. :p

We're off to find food somewhere with TVs where we catch the Rangers and maybe the Cornell lacrosse game on TV. Tailgate same place as Thursday?

She hit you with the vehical, as you're a pedestrian. Hell, if she calls to bother you again today, I would tell her you're back is hurting and you're thinking about calling a lawyer. That should shut her up somewhat. Would seem to me that you could easily get any shyster lawyer to get you a decent personal injury settlement from that.

Re: Frozen Four: Don't Forget To Bring Your Parka!

Lets hear the explanation

What happened was, I got a green light. I was not in the crosswalk. I did look both ways, started to cross. Probably was a step or two into the lane, and I got nailed. Apparently it looked hilarious. I'm on the ground for a split instant, and got up right away like I simply fell over. The driver came out, said I hit her car. I handed her her rearviewmirror, and then she loses it and threatens to call the cops. I say, "Ok, go ahead. Are you going to take your mirror?" This makes her even more mad that I'm not showering her with money for the mirror.

The officer told me that our insurance companies will handle it, and that would be the end of it. So that's what I'm going to tell her tomorrow. If she doesn't like it, well, I really don't care. That's the way it is.

Bro Gin suggested that he and jhm pay a visit to the lady, being that they are a federal agent and schyster lawyer, respectively. :D

Re: Frozen Four: Don't Forget To Bring Your Parka!

If you didn't use the crosswalk, you got what was coming to you. :D

I love how the driver said you hit her. I just hate it when pedestrians hit my car. :p

A lawyer might not be a bad idea, really. Might get some cash out of the crazy lady

If it was her friend's car, and not hers as someone stated earlier, then it would be her friend who has the problems. In MN the vehicle gets insured, not necessarily the driver (ignoring certain contract bits within the insurance clauses). In fact, her friend's insurance company could drop the friend as a client, but would still have to pay for the accident, because someone who's not listed as a driver of the vehicle (the owner and spouse, etc.) was driving it.

Re: Frozen Four: Don't Forget To Bring Your Parka!

I think MNS has become a casualty of the weekend. I've heard multiple toilet flushes, coughing, and spitting. He doesn't sound well.

At the bar last night (thanks again to tcbg grabbing a table!) I tried counting the people in our "group." At our peak, it was up to at least 45, and we were all in one concentrated area. :D

It was a fun weekend, glad to meet more of you eastern folk, and hope everyone had just as much fun as I did. Except jhm. * him.

Nope, not a casualty. Something didn't sit right (my guess is Mickey's).

FTR...the car was a rental, which is why she was ****ed.

That'll teach her to not get the insurance.

I also had a lot of fun with everyone this weekend. Great meeting a bunch of new people and seeing others I haven't seen in a while.

**** Right!!! Always get the insurance in a rental. Why?? Because its a rental, and you never know what else somebody else might have done in said rental that might cause you problems.

Re: Frozen Four: Don't Forget To Bring Your Parka!

Highlights of the weekend:

tUMD winning
Meeting (and re-acquainting myself) with the Eastern Bloc
finally getting to Target Field
hearing Frank Mazzacco telling state of hockey to get a molotov cocktail and burn down Fox Sports
winning a dollar from a random MI fan at Thu's tUMD game (we bet on the game)
watching an epic comeback at the Poster's Game on Saturday

For all of you that we discussed the whole "Master on Friday," here is the link to register for the 2012 Master's Ticket Lottery. http://www.masters.com/en_US/tickets/index.html I would suggest applying for 2 tickets to all 4 days, if we have to take tickets for a different day we can always sell those and use the profits to buy tickets for Friday's session! I have already applied.

Re: Frozen Four: Don't Forget To Bring Your Parka!

The driver from Friday has informed me she's calling the police (again) and her lawyer, because I told her that I'm letting the insurance companies handle it. Wonderful.
