Frozen 4 seat locations

Re: Frozen 4 seat locations

My group has three people getting seats to accommodate everyone:
Priority 16 - Section 217, Row C
Priority 16 - Section 217, Row D
Priority 15 - Section 217, Row G

Re: Frozen 4 seat locations

I'm priority 16, I'm in 106, row v seats 28 and 29. I waited to buy until today, there were better seats on friday

Re: Frozen 4 seat locations

Priority 15 - section 202, Row G, Seats 3-6. Preferred to sit in Rows B or C but they were not available.

My group has three people getting seats to accommodate everyone:
Priority 16 - Section 217, Row C
Priority 16 - Section 217, Row D
Priority 15 - Section 217, Row G
Club Seats/Sides: Still popular, and now in dwindling supply. A quick check of the NCAA website showed that some tickets remain, but mostly pairs and singles in the top rows. If this is where you want to sit, and your window has opened, act now. If you're a Level 14 and you're interested, I'd log in right away @ 10:00AM Eastern on Wednesday. My guess is that these sections will sell out at Level 14, with the possible exception of singles.

I'm sure that's literally true. And yet if you wanted Lower Bowl in the Corners, it's hard to believe you lost much position. Just browsed through Sections 106, 110, 122 & 126 -- the four corner sections. In some cases the aisle seats are picked over; but there still are aisle seats on the board. For any other preference within those sections, it appeared to me there was ample choice. What am I missing?

Priority 15. section 230, row C, seats 5&6
Stuck the landing! Glad to see it.

Priority 15
Club section 206 row B seats 1 - 2
Club Seats/End; Great Row & on the Aisle.

My call is that it's a win for everyone at Level 15. Getting a little nervous about the tournament's chances for a sellout. Early returns indicate an increased supply of seats accompanied by a decrease in demand. But for now, I'm content to celebrate how well we're all doing. As far as I'm concerned, my location is the best I've had in many years. I'll bet many on the thread feel the same way.

I'll let you know when it gets to priority 3, lol.

Re: Frozen 4 seat locations

Priority 15 - Sec. 217, Row J
Top Row of Section 217.

New Scouting Report from Club Level Sides: Here's an oddity. Ask for a pair, meaning 2 tickets, and the website will indicate nothing is available in several of these sections. However, increase your request to 3 tickets, and suddenly you're in business. As I type:

Section 201 has two sets of 3 tickets
Section 230 has three sets of 3 tickets
Section 229 has one set of 3 tickets

Note also Section 202 has three pairs of seats. So if you only need 2, that's the way to go.

All of these offerings are clustered in the higher rows of Club. For that reason you might be able to put together a group of 4 or 6 and be seated quite close to one another. Just spread your group over two rows. Not sure if you can do this in a single transaction. But even if not, the program allows for multiple purchases, as long as you don't exceed your overall ticket limit.

I'll let you know when it gets to priority 3, lol.
:)

Obviously the seating chart is going to look a little different when it's your turn to choose. But sales appear to be running well behind last year's pace for Boston. You may not get great seats, but I'm guessing there will still be acceptable choices available when your window opens.

Do post again after you complete your purchase.

Re: Frozen 4 seat locations

Priority 14
Sec. 123 Row W Seats 1 & 2

Location represents preference rather than "best available". I'm one of those odd ducks that likes to watch from the end and my wife hates steps and stepping over folks, so we wanted to sit on the aisle, on the level that we enter the arena. There seemed to be plenty of seats available in the end sections.

Thanks for the warning about the flash delivery. I like to keep souvenir tickets.

Re: Frozen 4 seat locations

Many of these programs are coded to not leave a single ducat
Understood and agreed. I have no quarrel with the seller's goal of preventing orphaned singles. But why not let the buyer see all the seats still on the market, and have the program block the "orphaning" at the selection stage? There are countless scenarios where the purchaser would benefit from having all of the options in front of them.

Example: Purchaser needs 4 tickets. Desired section has two trios available in back-to-back rows. Purchaser selects 4 from the tickets needed menu.

Current System? Purchaser is told nothing is available. Disappointed purchaser moves on to a different section.

Full Disclosure System? Purchaser selects one of the trios, plus a single from the Row immediately behind. A pair of seats is left over, actually a better situation from the seller's point of view. Win-Win.

Now I've made a sport of trying to understand the process backwards and forwards, along with projecting likely results as the lottery unfolds. Anyone is free to do that, of course. Which will lead some to say either put in the time, or don't complain when the seats aren't as good as they could have been.

Further, I'll admit that one motivation I have for doing these posts is to help USCHO readers do better in the lottery than those not a part of our community. Uncovering a new angle, a new way to get ahead, is kind of fun.

All that said, I still think full disclosure is the fairest system. Denying purchasers the information they need to make ideal decisions -- or making that info unnaturally tough to find -- just rubs me the wrong way.

Nothing wrong with any of that. Being a contrarian is often a way to get ahead. And, at the very least, you've been true unto yourself.:)

Yup. Club Level has kind of stolen the show so far. I take it from your comments that you would chosen essentially the same seats even if you had been at Level 19. In other words, you had a solid win in the lottery.

You're welcome. Me too.

BTW, the thread you started really deserved a better fate. After all, you were first to the party. But the sticky Chris Lerch put up trumped; then this thread gained momentum before most of us rediscovered yours.

Not suggesting that you're harboring an objection; just saying.

Re: Frozen 4 seat locations

Priority 15. section 230, row C, seats 5&6

The highest priority is making sure you stay the hell away from every Frozen Four venue at all cost.

Hope all is well is your corner of the world Seattle. Yet another college hockey season is upon us. However, this weekend I will be working the late, late, late shift by attending the Air Force-Wyoming football game in Falcon Stadium scheduled to kickoff on ESPN2 at 8:15 P.M. Those late ESPN games never kickoff on time. Always late. The game might end in time for Sunday brunch if I'm lucky. ;)

Ha! Fail. :D

Re: Frozen 4 seat locations

Just thought I would throw some insider advice here. Sat in 101, row H tonight for the Lightning game. While fantastic from a "close to the action" POV, row H on the sides may very well be considered too close for some folks. Difficult to see near side and near corners.

Last season, I was in row P on opposite side (117 I believe) and those were quite nice, just a little higher allowed for a better overall view.

I will also note, as I can't remember if it was installed for 2012 or not (or for people coming to Tampa for the first time... There is a gigantic video board that spans the width of the neutral zone. So, anywhere on the sides does have that as well to assist with seeing everything.

Probably why the 4 ticket limit was increased this year. They're probably hoping some of us have more than 3 friends that we couldn't bring with us in the past, but might this time. My bet is that it still won't sell out. We'll likely all get that email in February or March pushing "newly released" (i.e. not sold) seats for sale.

Re: Frozen 4 seat locations

And you've proved that reasonable people can differ and still both be great minds. I choose the low row, you choose the high row -- but there's no need to call the whole thing off! The truth is that anything at Club Level, Blue Lines or better, is going to be a great seat.

Good one :D
Actually, there weren't four available in the front row of that section, so I went for the back row. If there has to be someone in front of me, at least there won't be anyone right behind me.

Good to have that eyewitness account. Looks like I was a little too optimistic about Lower Bowl/End Line, Row H. (Eight rows off the ice) Going to a higher row does sound wise. Unfortunately, most of the higher row seats we're talking about aren't being offered in the lottery, IIRC. Or, perhaps some were sold in the very early going.

FWIW, the new rule allowed me to get 5 seats together. Also, I agree with your predictions.

Priority 17, Section 115 Row W. seats 6 &7
Lower Bowl/Blue Line. If accurate -- meaning no typo, no memory lapse -- you arguably got the best location so far. That section of the Lower Bowl wasn't on the ballot when I selected! Congrats and Enjoy.
