Re: Friday February 12th Score Updates: The Rowdy Crowd's Quest and MIAC Showdown

EC has three games left, I predict two more  losses.

You can count on three losses if he starts Bolin again:mad: I've seen him play many times and he should not be starting against even a decent team. I'd like to know what his motive was because it didn't work tonight and didn't work after he pulled Tuttle last week.

DUMB MOVE COACH!

Re: Friday February 12th Score Updates: The Rowdy Crowd's Quest and MIAC Showdown

Another end of season meltdown? NO EXCUSES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
EC Needs to get physical, you can't let these half *****ed teams push you around, especially when playing your second string goalie

Bolin is third string!! MacDonald looks stronger in net than Bolin. Saul is probably trying to stir things up, and in my opinion is the wrong move! They do let teams push them around, and it isn't the goaltending. Every shot Bolin takes is a rebound for the other team!

Just as a side note when you refer to POOL C what does the Saints loss mean, they still are in 2nd place...Pool C is for non conference winners that get invite to nationals,If St Norberts makes it to the semis and looses they could make POOL C corect?
Can you enlighten me how the national toureny works please

Try this from the USCHO NCAA tab above.

Re: Friday February 12th Score Updates: The Rowdy Crowd's Quest and MIAC Showdown

I was assuming Casey was sick. If he started Bolin to shake things up he might want his head examined. Besides Tuttle is the least of the problems. Might Want to start McDonald next time. It is going to be a long year next year if he plans on Bolin as a starter. Maybe I will do what the other Two thousand +/- fans we have lost have been doing. Go watch the Jackals.

Excerpt from Russell's article this week:

Baldarotta is realistic for the expectations in this game: “Do you honestly think we’re going to have a bad game?
Morrisville 5
Cortland 0

Looks like it, Joe.

Re: Friday February 12th Score Updates: The Rowdy Crowd's Quest and MIAC Showdown

Look at this box score: I feel embarrassed for UNE saying they got 62 shots in the game...Please, what a joke...

http://www.collegehockeystats.net/0910/boxes/mtufune1.f12

Perhaps the 62 shot count is partially the result of generous home-cooked scorekeeping, but given the ridiculous number of SOG that Tufts allows on a regular basis, I don't think it is a grossly inflated total, and I'm sure UNE hit the net at least 50 times. Opponents of the Jumbos are averaging just over 45 SOG per game this season. I have only watched my alma mater play in person twice this year, against Babson early in the season and recently against Castleton, but it seems like they are perfectly willing to let opponents fire away at will from the outside against Barchard, who rarely gets beat on a first shot attempt.

Just to pick out a few other high SOG counts against Tufts this year:
Neumann: 50 (a 5-2 Tufts win)
NEC: 53 (a 3-1 Tufts win)
St. Anselm: 66 (a 4-3 Tufts OT win)
[those three games were all in a one week span after Thankgiving]
Bowdoin: 49 (a 3-2 loss)
Castleton: 51 (2-2 tie)

For the year, opponents are outshooting Tufts by a count of 948 to 630, yet the Jumbos are 10-8-3 overall. It is an odd strategy, but it seems to be working.
