Friars Hockey 22-23: Everybody Gets A Thread

Thanks, always good to have another reference for recruits. I also found my way to Neutral Zone which seems to be consistent with the link you shared, so CHN was the only one that seemed different/possibly not accurate.

Heisenberg list
Chris Heisenberg's 2023 List.xlsx - Google Sheets

Listings by college are on the tab at the bottom, Hockey East comes up first.

Think this site has been good. Matriculation year could be off.

Update on incoming players:

Graham Gamache/forward should be 23-24
Marcus Brannman/goalie should become the #2 behind Svedeback 23-24

Just saw that the US team for the Hlinka Gretzky Cup that is being played next week in the Czech Republic and Slovakia includes 3 PC commits. This UN-18 event started in 1991 and Canada has won 23 times. The only time the US won was 2003, but they have 13 medals overall. One of the PC commits was identified as one of the most skilled players at the evaluation camp last week, his name is Trevor Connelly. Will be interesting to see how the team does, hopefully they will come home with another medal.

US Team plays Czechia, Sweden and Germany in preliminary rounds of the Hlinka Gretzky Cup on Monday-Wednesday this week. All US games are being telecast by the NHL Network. 1st game today, coverage begins at 1:30PM Eastern.

Watched the game, while the US team lost 7-2, Trevor Connelly looked really good. Reminds me of Jacob Bryson with his skating and Jack Dugan as a passer. The announcers focused on his play before and during the game. What a good recruit!

I now have watched both games. By far Trevor Connelly has been the best player for USA team. Also the other Providence recruit jjMonteiro has been very good.
The changes Mt St Charles made to have elite teams is going to pay dividends for Providence

US vs Canada today in the semi finals for the Hlinka Gretzky Cup on the NHL network at 1:00PM. Another chance to see some very good PC recruits and our equipment manager Zags. Since the inception of this international event the gold metal count has been Canada 23, US 1 so an uphill slog today. Good chance to reignite our interest in spirited hockey before the regular season begins in October and to see some future D1 college stars and NHL players. Winner plays for gold Saturday while loser plays for Bronze.
