Final Five Quarterfinals: St, Clooud vs. Fighting Whioux

Re: Final Five Quarterfinals: St, Clooud vs. Fighting Whioux

I went into the future and captured this video footage of what would happen if Lee is in the nets on Thursday...for the most important footage, start at about 1:25...:p:D:D

Please ignore names and dates, as in the future it is all messed up...

If you think that is the same Mike Lee post surgery or same D corps, you must be mistaken. That was a horrible game and the games Friday/Saturday looked nothing like that choppy play.

I'm not sure how many times I have to say it, but I'm not being serious. Of course, UNO is not UND, and Red Light Lee has a horrid career against UND. It would only make sense that the Sioux light up Red Light Lee like it's the 4th of July.

Faragher - 2-2-0, .953 Sv%, 1.77 GAA....YOWZERS!
Red Light Lee - 0-5-1, .878 Sv%, 4.41 GAA....Please sir, may I have another :p:D:D

again, not being serious

Re: Final Five Quarterfinals: St, Clooud vs. Fighting Whioux

Faragher played his role on this team... He saved our bacon to keep home ice possible but he also I think lit a fire under Lee. Lee had to sit on the bench and watch this kid receive a lotta praise.

So sounds like everyone's happy... UND wants Lee, we want Lee. He is starting to become the goalie we were supposed to get. Consistency is up, his nightly *** goal is becoming much more rare. I guarantee nothing except I'll bet you Mike Lee wants UND more than anyone else on the the team... How he responds we'll see DAMMIT

Re: Final Five Quarterfinals: St, Clooud vs. Fighting Whioux

Yes that team was all about offense however that team only scored 3.20 per game and this one is 3.15.
The depth is likely a little better on the 2010 team because of the injuries and defections, but the numbers aren't far off offensively.

that's because the defense couldn't move the puck like they can this year. Put his years defense with that years forwards.....

Re: Final Five Quarterfinals: St, Clooud vs. Fighting Whioux

Isn't it about time North Dakota gets knocked out of this thing early? It seems like for the past 6 or 7 years UND has been in the championship game every year minus the UMD vs. Denver game.

I don't think this UND team is as good as the ones from the previous years when they smoked us in this tournament. It would be nice to beat them for a change.

And for a long time people keep saying the same thing, truth be told UND always shows up late in the season ready to collect. The Broadmoor is up for grabs this year imo, I dont see any clear cut favorites to win it..

Re: Final Five Quarterfinals: St, Clooud vs. Fighting Whioux

I think a good strategy for the Sioux would be to lose this game, and then get some rest before the NCAAs. After all their pair wise is high enough to get into the national tourney. It worked for Denver

Re: Final Five Quarterfinals: St, Clooud vs. Fighting Whioux

All the pieces are falling into place, the Huskies rise to the occasion and go on to play Gophernation in the Semi-Finals on Friday. In a related story, SCSU fans drunkest ones there, and the Embassy Suites in St. Paul is the place to be as usual.

Over/Under how many holes are punched in the Excel center by UND fans (2.5)

I think Denver has done it so many times now, they just call it "pullin' a denver".

Huh? how do we determine drunkest fans? Are you bringing PBTs? I have only witnessed Sioux fans who have not been able to handle their beverages. Three years ago I watched on as a Sioux fan tried vomiting into their Dasani water bottle. That was such an ugly mess to himself and those around him.

Where the he\_\_ is the Excel center? And how can one punch holes into it?

Re: Final Five Quarterfinals: St, Clooud vs. Fighting Whioux

I love the UND fans talking crap about OUR goalies. Here are some numbers for you. Since Mike Lee returned from injury:

Mike Lee (6-3-1)
607 minutes, 323 SOG, 17 GA, 1.68 GAA, .947 save %

Brad Eidsness (5-1-1, pulled once)
443 minutes, 191 SOG, 15 GA, 2.03 GAA, .921 save %

Aaron Dell (4-1-0, pulled once)
282 minutes, 130 SOG, 13 GA, 2.76 GAA, .900 save %

So as far as goaltending goes? I like our guy. The real key here is SCSU converting on their power play chances.

All that matters is how Lee has done against UND in the 2 years before this one.
Not how he is playing now, not how much better this team is defensively.
Just that Lee's history against UND sucks, so obviously they will light him up and destroy us.

Re: Final Five Quarterfinals: St, Clooud vs. Fighting Whioux

Well yeah. I suck with girls and I have forever. Doesn't mean I won't run into some drunk skank this weekend. All it takes is one. :)
