Hokydad knows more than most posters on here. He just isn't the most articulate or nicest poster. As for jcarter, I feel like he's actually gotten better. I think like a lot of people on here, he was just arrogant when he first started posting. Seems like he's settled down a little. Then again, Vermont fans don't really have much to be arrogant about right now.

Or maybe I'm just getting soft and I've somehow convinced myself that everyone has a little good in them. Except Noreaster.

You forgot Carmine, Steve F, Nick, I-Like-Women's-Hockey, and Corn Flakes... who all suck, just like BC.

As for Russia, last year they had a horrible heat wave with multiple fires and temps regularly in the 90s (F). Even without that, it can still be pretty warm and humid there during the summer. Someone must have offered up some major cash to get the votes for those two places. I found it funny that an hour or two before the announcement there were a couple news articles with FIFA officials saying they were not corrupt. Hahaha...oh man.

Re: the 5-5 tie. This is the game that I remember as the point at which it wa clear BC was back. But I thought BU had a 5-3 lead and BC scored the last two, I thought Reasoner had both, and I thought one of them may have been with the goalie pulled early. Whatever happened to Jamie O'Leary. I know he was small, but I recall that he was York's first big recruit (not on the level of Reasoner, Farkas, Gionta, but very good compared to the players BC had from 1993 to 1996 or so.

Debatable if he knows more than most. Kinda a broad statement anyway, but my biggest problem with him is the focus on the politics of the game rather than commenting on how certain guys are playing or how certain teams are performing.

Hmm now I can't remember, but in any event the scoring went 3-0, five straight for the other team, and then two 3rd period goals to tie it. At some point in that game, York did pull the goalie very, very early (must have been BC tying the game at 5) and it paid off.

It was bu that jumped out, and it was also in the 1st period that Jerry pulled the goalie (I sat in sec 5 and had the empty net in front of me the while time waiting for bu to score and rub salt in it). Wasn't something you would see and it stuck in my head.

I think it's clear, to me anyway, that hoky knows his stuff. But his delivery needs work. I don't even mind the politics, in fact, I like it.

I wouldn't mind the occasional politics, but when it's the only thing you harp on...it gets old fast.

Parker said Rollie will play 1 of the next 3 games, either at BC or Wednesday against NU. Geragosian will decide Saturday's starter after tonight's game.
