Eternal Questions - Add yours to the list.

Re: Eternal Questions - Add yours to the list.

If inhale is the opposite of exhale, and internal is the opposite of external, then why is the opposite of increment, decrement?

And does inclement even have an opposite?

and what is the opposite of 'opposite'?

In the original King Kong movie (1933) the natives of Skull Island build a giant wall to keep them safe and keep King Kong out. If that is so, why did they make the doors in the wall big enough for him to come in through? Why not just small doors for the natives? This has me stumped since i first saw the movie back in the 1950's.

Maybe King Kong built the wall to keep the islanders from disturbing the natural balance of his eco-system?

I know this isn't the place for serious answers, but....

All the plastics in your car off-gas and some of those Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) deposit themselves on the glass. It is usually worse when you park in sunny areas. Those also collect dirt in the air as they are sticky, they also will fog easier if there is any chance of condensation.

Doesn't it also depend upon how often you run the defroster? Dust and dirt from the outside air gets blown onto the windshield in the winter in many parts of the country....

is it good or bad that when you walk into a nudie bar, the girls address you by name?

I was in a "Gentleman's Club" in Florida on spring break with a bunch of frat brothers and one brother ran out of cash for lap dances with a chick he was smitten by. I had to cash some travelers checks to lend him cash (this was waaaay back, before ATMs).

Re: Eternal Questions - Add yours to the list.

Goldy's post makes me wonder: Why do "gentleman's clubs" seem to have the smallest % of gentlemen in them? :p

Re: Eternal Questions - Add yours to the list.

Why do crappy youth players who have zero desire to compete, zero desire to go into corners and zero desire to work in practice to get better continue to come out year after year?

Just to be my cross to bear?

Coach's fault, obviously. If he could motivate them, they'd do all those things!

Nah. I haven't been their coach every season.

Bent-ankle pansies who should got out for math club or soccer. Seriously, how can you not pivot both ways or catch a pass that's RIGHT TO YOU after 6-7 years of organized hockey!?!
