Elmira College Fan
It's almost September so I thought it would be a good time to get this started. With no ECHL in Elmira this year, will we see larger crowds at the Domes? Sounds like a no brainer but you never know with Elmira.

I would really hope so...it really depends on how they do and if they can bring back the old fans that were consumed with the Jackals. If they win early, people will come back. I think they could get back to averaging 2,500 a game. We shall see

I would love to see those days again....You hit it on the head though...they've got to win games and that hasn't come easy lately.

I going to go out on a limb here and say it will be up very soon. Just went to the website, and there is a 2017-2018 roster available (have to select it from the drop-down) which included a few new names (Freshmen) listed, but no photos/images yet.

In summary... it looks like 'they' are working on it as we type.


EDIT: Notable - 27 names in-all, 4 Goalies listed, 3 are Freshmen

Is there viddy from the Domes tonight? Local kid Phil Satin makes his debut for Hobart.

Hobart v. Elmira

  • Game looked like the first game of the season. Pretty ragged and sloppy.
  • Decent crowd, but expected larger without the ECHL in town this season
  • Line of 7/14/18 will be pretty special
  • Team not blessed with much speed
  • Too many clearing passes ended up on the opponents sticks
  • Goalie looks decent ... quite tall 6'4" for a tender
  • Scorer of goal 1 finished the game on crutches

EC just beat #10 Hobart and they looked good. Freshman tender also looked good and it was great to back at the Domes!

Big weekend for EC with two league games. They need to cut down on penalties!!!

LMAO, Why would they start now? It's been the same old story, year after year. Sit back and enjoy the games that they do come to play.
 
Ma'ville v Elmira

Ma'ville v Elmira

  • EC got out-skated, out-hustled, out-passed, and out-muscled.
  • Tender was a bit shaky during scrambles
  • A-Line played fairly well
  • EC struggled to consistently navigate the neutral zone with puck possession
  • Ma'ville didn't even dress four full lines, and still out-played EC
  • Here's hoping the underclassmen (22/27) mature quickly
