At this point a team with 4 losses and 4 ties doesn't look like it has a chance either. There are many teams with much better resumes, especially in the west!!Having David and Love back anchoring the blue line is certainly not going to hurt EC's league run. After Utica's stumble at Naz, Hobart may be the ECAC/W's only chance at a bid unless EC can knock them off as well.

I'm in agreement that there is not an ECAC-W team that deserve a bid.
My metrics (which I've not been able to do for a number of reasons for the last couple of week) will be posted "over there" next week) make it look like the ECAC W is in deep trouble for either type of Pool bid. This is why the quest for team #7 needs to continue for this league
Don't repost this on the Utica thread, Fishman doesn't like autobids! or is it he thinks it should be the league champ? Either way, I think the ECACW stays home this year!!
One of the plusses of being out of touch is that one of many things that I haven't been following is the nightly rants of the the Fishman.
Overall he hasn't been Ranting that much....he hasn't posted much at all...The Utica thread has really been rather quiet....HMMMMM!
Wonder why.....
It's so obvious, too many penalties. You can only kill them off for so long before getting tired. I think the Oswego game was a good example, third period. Sat. vs Neumann, two penalties with just over 2 mins to play.. It does amaze me how they have been hanging in there, the next three weeks will be interesting.Riddle me this ...
Elmira is first in D3 with a PP conversion rate of ~32%, but absolutely dead last on the PK with a 76.7%.
A rational person would surmise that special teams would operate commensurately, or perhaps the fellas are taking waaaaaayyy too many penalties, and exhausting the PK corps?
Ball game. Message sent via this site
Went to both games. Here are some notes from the games and my opinions. In no order
EC dominated both games.
First thing I noticed was NO ONE was there. Stands were empty. I’ve been to games each year for past 5 years. Always packed.
Second thing I noticed was how fast these kids are. The pace was really fast. I wouldn’t make this team now. It’s not about overall speed. It’s that that first couple strides and they are at top speed. They catch and receive passes in motion and at top flight. Anticipation is the key to hockey so executing at such a high level impressed me.
EC looks great in those new road unis. Have to look good to play good.
EC PK is awesome. Coach said they changed it up this weekend because wasn’t working. It’s very aggressive and forces teams to rush which causes turnovers. Down side is one good pass can catch an EC PK player. It’s all about pressure and support/covering each other
Bad part is I saw the PK 6 times. Too many penalties from EC.
Got a chance to talk to Coach after game. Good catching up with him. He has the boys playing well
Hung out in the bar with some EC alums from the Philly area. Had a couple beers with Ted Whiteley who played for EC 1983.
I moved around during the game. I prefer to watch the games at ice level in a corner. For him it’s the best place to watch a game. But did go talk to the guys not playing who were in the stands. I like hearing whats going on at campus and where they go out at. Nothing has changed. Still go to the Branch and live in Towers. Also funny that all the players in the stands were American. I’ll have to talk to coach about that! Haha
I have pictures but cant get them to post. Will do later
¿¿ Worst in the nation and it is "awesome" ??EC PK is awesome.
