Congratulations, CHAMPIONS! Awesome job. If this team starts next year like they finished this one, AND maintains that level of play throughout the season, there will CERTAINLY be more games to play in March.

Hahahaha are u kidding me dive are way every single penalty one way or tho other would have been called tonight the quote dives as u say were real penaltys UC committed an its so sad ur going to try an say that crap bout Ellora when they worked there butts off to beat utica tonight I was there an all the calls both ways were deserved one of the better games for the officals have call all year even an fair so yes u can be a sore loser an say that but it was an even called game an the better team won an the team that wanted it more

I don't normally respond to this type of childishness. But penalties were pretty even. Elmira took 2 vs 0 in the 3rd period. Being a sore loser sometimes clouds ones judgement/grasp of reality.
Let's not forget Utica running Elmira's starting goalie and ending his season. These boys fight on. The only diving I saw was the chance of Utica getting a post season bid.

I have to think Elmira has national title aspirations next year and the year after with the team they have returning. Could be a team to keep an eye on for a big year next year.

I'm fairly new to following the ECAC W conference. Just a few comments. It's a shame they don't get an auto bid. I understand the conference doesn't have enough teams to warrant the auto bid. And there's no use in crying over spilt milk. Both Utica and Elmira had their chances to get to the tournament. Had Utica won in the final, had Elmira not dropped two OT losses to Hobart either could have qualified. Also, it seems to me this division is actually pretty deep with any team being able to knock off any other throughout the season.
Utica: Tied and lost to Oswego. Went 1-1-1 with Hobart.
Elmira: Won and Lost vs Oswego. Beat Geneseo. Went 2-2 with Utica and Hobart
Hobart: Beat Plattsburgh
Manhattanville: Went 1-1-1 with Elmira. Beat Utica once and lost 1-0 in ecacw semi final. Beat Nichols
Neumann:Beat Hobart twice
Nazareth: Beat Hobart, Utica and Geneseo
I'm not going to speculate on next year, but I think things look good for some of these teams. But if they continue to beat up on each other, there is no chance to go beyond the conference. I hear rumblings of adding a team so the division gets an auto bid. In the meantime, someone needs to dominate or go home after the conference championship game.

They've been beating up on each other for years and been fine. The problem is that they need to beat up on OOC opponents more than they did this year. Also, Nazareth isn't Lebanon Valley and will only continue to get better...
