Great to see deMelo stuck it out and got things back in order and is back on the roster.
He's the goalie of the future for sure for EC.
I'm excited to see how this team fares. Definitely what looks to be a strong recruiting class.

Looks like the defense is going to be a little raw, but I think the size of Gagne and Eriksson is intriguing.

Every time I've made the drive to Oswego in the past 10 years, Elmira has lost ... including a painful trip this past March. Appreciate the offer, but I'm going to try and break the hex, and stay home this time. Yeah, I'm a bit superstitious.

DeMelo should get the start next next IMHO, he let in two early but settled down very nicely, made some good saves. MacDonald showed once again that his previous "numbers" were padded by those who were in front of him, he's never impressed me. Lost his stick tonight, puck in Oswego's end, he stays in net and doesn't go get it?? it was only 10ft from him, ended up giving up a goal trying to use a "D" man's stick.
Poor goaltending, poor offense, not much hustle, no leadership, it's early, but it's still going to be a very long season.

Not trolling here... I DVR'ed the game tonight, looking for EC to add to the ECAC-W's dominance of the SUNYAC... "Ouch" is right!
Oswego is as strong up front as ever, but I haven't seen an Elmira team look that bad for the 10 years I've been a D-3 fan. The blowout wasn't as much about the talent-deficit as it was about the lack of effort, IMO, and seeing that was another first for me re: Elmira.
(I'm sure they'll find a way to sweep Utica yet again, just the same.)

Just watched the highlights....
Awful team defense....How many of Oswego's goals were odd man rushes or defensive lapses? I'd say atleast six of them.
First goal..you're on a 5x3 and no one picks up the guy coming out of the box lending creedence to a breakaway goal. Second goal, awful line change allows for 2 on 1 break.
I saw a lot of Elmira players running around in the highlights..Was Oswego that much faster for people that were there? I know Elmira has some size, especially on the back end...But can they keep up with a team as fast as Oswego? Regardless...the Lakers absolutely own Elmira right now.
Hopefully they figure things out before the next meeting at the Domes in January.
Also, noticed Elmira has no names on the back of the jerseys this year. That's new correct? I thought I remembered them having them last year on the roads.
