And the unspooling continues. Earlier today His Gaffeness proclaimed the private sector is "doing fine." He later had to back track from that like a snake handling minister in Appalachia.

Try to imagine what the Daily Show would do with Bush saying two diametrically opposed things within a few hours. Then imagine what they're going to do about this.

Remember, when "W" stepped on his johnson it was proof of how stupid he was. When His Shakiness does the same thing, it's proof of something else.

Record profits. The 1% is doing more than fine.

Well, since he and his fat a*s wife are both part of the 1%, he ought to know. But tell me, Euthyphro, if that's what he was referring to, why did he walk back his earlier statement? Gutless? Stupid? Clueless?

Meanwhile, His Gaffeness' AG Eric ("What you talkin' 'bout Willis?") Holder has appointed a couple of prosecutors to look into the self-serving national security leaks coming out of the administration. Testimony to the seriousness of this matter. Axelrod is probably sh*tting bricks, wanting His Introubleness to get on top of this one. Look for some flunky to walk the plank, assuming this "investigation" is concluded before the election.

Why are you worried about what a comedy program airs for political bias? Nobody doubts that Jon Stewart is a raging liberal, he says as much himself.

Because one half hour of a comedy show >>>>>>>> 24 hour propaganda network

He may be a liberal, but he mocks Obama as much as anyone. Old Pio just cant find comedy Central on his old RCA console TV so he has no idea. ;)

Of course he also mocks guys like Joe Scarborough who go on long rants about how the New York Times apparently mocked Mitt and his wealth in their Home section by saying "Imagine if they had done that to Kerry" only to have it thrown in their face they did the same article for the most part about Kerry in 2004 on THEIR FRONT PAGE :D

Just remember though...the Right thinks for themselves Flag told us so! (Faux News pretty much proves that wrong on a minute by minute basis as do Republican women voting against women's rights but that is just not within his purview im sure ;) )

Record profits. The 1% is doing more than fine.

So, the 1% makes the profits from all the corporations in America?

And great line in AP article regarding g Obama's quote. Profits have grown 58% since 2009. It has also gotten warmer since January, brighter than 4am and everybody is older than they were yesterday.

Gotta love the wild growth in profits since the last recession.

Looking at percentage growth (or shrinkage) in profits is either stupid or being used to support someone's bias. If profits go from 0.1% to 0.3%, OMG profits have tripled! The 1% must be screwing America!!! Oh - wait. So you're saying 99.7% of the companies revenue is stimulating the economy via purchasing products or paying wages? Never mind...

He usually does and he usually does a good job of it. He goes after the right more than those on the left, playing to his core audience, I think.

"worried?"
Yeah, worried's a good word. Why mention him at all? He's a comedy show.

Interestingly enough, if you've got 40 minutes, he has an extended interview with Edward Conrad of Bain Capital that's split into three parts on his site. While interjecting his viewpoint, he does let Mr. Conrad explain some basics (and a little beyond the basics) of banking and finance.

I picked him as one of many available examples of media bias. I could have just as easily (and more accurately) mentioned Letterman or CNN or NYT, etc. Like Fox, I generally don't watch CC (except for Tosh) so he can amuse you while modestly contemplating his own brilliance. Thanks for posting the interview (seriously), but I'll pass. I just don't care. Besides, I've got to back flush my water pic.

That's why Obama, durbin, cordray and comrade levin always talk in profits not margins. They know joe public will be outraged if they hear "billions of profits" and will never hear the whole financial picture.

That is also why they talk about interest rates instead of risk adjusted margins.
