This is completely missing the point, and you have done well as a dupe for the RNC message.

You comments (which are completely true, within their scope, which NOBODY challenges, and which in fact liberals have helped protect from the predations of conservatives) have ZERO to do with millionaires who will never face any risk who have carte blache to fuck up the lives of thousands of people to make a penny margin of cost/benefit because they wrap themselves in the human shield of people starting their own businesses.

Nobody wants to mess up small business and personal start-ups.

The real macro-argument, extending over decades, is about enormous multinationals and their board members. And I have news for you. They are not your friends. They will grind you under the same as everybody else. That you cheer them on is all the more sad.

then again, stupidest speech ever. cause that ain't what anyone heard or anyone read (thank you for posting the entire 'speech'). want to go and raise the marginal rate on $1,000,000 family income? i'm on board. want to make salaries over $500,000 and stock options over $xxx,xxxx non-tax deductible for corporations? i'm ok there too.

nobody out there today "built" a multi-national business that BO addressed. if you have something else to read that was in that speech addressing these huge multi-nationals i'm willing to read it.

Someone should tell the prez, cause that's exactly who he went after in his last speech. Talking about small business owners like they're the enemy of America. Wake up call: taxing the **** out of Joe the Plumber and Bill the car mechanic is NOT going to sove anything. He didn't say anything about the big corporations but just talked about personal start-ups and how they are community property.

I don't tkmow him to either like or dislike. I'd imagine though we'd be friendly- he likes golf and has a hot wife, so there's the chance we could play together then swap afterwards. Plus I have a better chance to be successful as he is successful. I am not one to gain at his failures, so there is no reason to hope for such. You don't know what you're typing

All the silly spin aside, it is healthy that we're having discussions about things like wealth inequality, the way the tax code is slanted (or not) towards the powerful, and what our national priorities should be when it comes to who is rewarded by fiscal policy. These issues always tend to be the elephant in the room. Sincere people can disagree about the solutions, but at least the equations are finally on the board for people to examine. That alone is a victory.

This is very enlightening. So, you are for the small business man. But not so much for the big, wealthy business man? Marx also divided the bourgoisie into petty and wealthy classes. But he pointed out the how the proletariat were being exploited by the bourgoisie, and thus at war with them. You, on the other hand are not doing that,..oh wait

I think the hockey player might find that a tiny bit insulting.
