Ecac seeding/playoff predictions

Re: Ecac seeding/playoff predictions

Yale still leading 1-0 early in third. Quinnipiac leading 2-0 midway in third.

Havard ties it up on a quick turnaround shot by D'Oench. 8 minutes left in the third.

Re: Ecac seeding/playoff predictions

And ECAC CHAMPIONSHIP WILL BE AT CHEEL ARÉNA! Clarkson will play saturday at 13:00 And Cornell at 16:00

3 of 4 teams set. Clarkson, Cornell and Quinnipiac are in.

After tying goal Yale starts pushing again and Staenz ties it up on a redirect from a shot from the Dot that was heading wide. Great hand eye coordination as she hit it with the shaft of her stick about 2 feet up from the ice while being covered at the back door.

Now 2-2. Harvard ties it up, but Yale heading to a PP. 4 minutes left.

Another OT. Harvard got a nice late PP present from the Officials, but Yale killed it off.

Harvard just missed on a clear breakaway with 4 minutes left in the first OT. Wow.

Re: Ecac seeding/playoff predictions

Harvard 3 Yale 2 on goal by D'Oench 4 min into OT#2.
Shots were 55 to 34 Harvad.

Game 3 tomorrow. Harvard will have a rested Machmayer in goal..

So how many skaters does Harvard have? And how many will be alive when this series ends?

The player that looked the most tired was the Yale Goalie. Remember that Harvard could come back with Maschmeyer, who sat on the bench today.

Leonoff looked exhausted by the end of the third. Who could blame her since 75 percent of both games have been in yales end. Harvard fans must have been smiling inside when she went down in OT. She didn't look the same after that. 110 saves in 2 games is absurd. Will she have anything left for game 3 tomorrow?

Don't count on it. If Crowell went with Liang in a do or die game today, she is more likely to go back to her tomorrow. Brianna played very well under difficult circumstances. She made the save of the game in regulation to give Harvard a chance to tie and another beauty in OT before D'Oench's winner.

The bigger question is will Harvard have anything left tomorrow. Crowell inexplicably shortened an already short bench by cutting Sydney Daniels and Elizabeth Parker's minutes. Some bizarre coaching moves but it paid off today.

Harvard a game strategy tomorrow: shoot shoot shoot until Leonoff can no longer stand.

Fairly sure they re-seed if there are upsets. (Tried to look up the rules on the ECAC site, but could not find them :( )

If I understand the schedule annonce on the ECAC championship site, there are no re-seed! Quinny is already matched to Clarkson !!!!!

And the article on the Bobcats win said the opposite???

The Bobcats' 22nd victory of the season ties a single-season programme record while they advance to the ECAC Hockey Semifinals for the third time in program history and first time since 2012 when they were defeated by Cornell, 5-1. Quinnipiac awaits the winner of the Harvard, Yale Quarterfinal series as they will either play Clarkson (if Harvard win) or Cornell (if Yale wins) next weekend from Cheel Arena.

The ECAC re-seeds for both the men's and women's hockey tournaments. Clarkson will play Yale if they beat Harvard.
