I'm curious how many of you would bet Harvard over Cornell or Colgate over Union if something extremely valuable, like your house, was on the line. These results are possible, but I wouldn't say it's a 1:2 chance, which is what the aggregate results show.

If you only knew how many times I pick against my own team during the regular season and get it thrown in my face!
I usually root for the underdog, and it definitely held true last year for the #12 Raiders. Brown had some recent playoff magic, too. Anything is possible during the playoffs and it's why they play the game. March Madness should teach you that.
Hard to separate head and heart. If your team is the low seed, it is still difficult to root against them to not pull off the 'upset'. Maybe some simply like/dislike one team more than another, regardless of their record. Risking a home is a ridiculous analogy.

Jenny and I have one of our homes only 45 minutes from AC and all the casinos. We get down there every so often and I do bet some extremely valuable things there(cash). I make just as many stupid bets there as I do in picking the ECAC standings and picking the ECAC playoffs. I guess I just never learn.

I guess "a house" isn't really a great example, but you know what I mean. Also just because I like rooting for the underdog, doesn't mean I want to bet against the favorite. In any case, all of this yabber jabber will be moot in a few hours. Good luck to everyone's teams!
