ECAC East 2010-11

Re: ECAC East 2010-11

Watched both Mville games over the weekend. Last night was a chippy one with St.A's. The Valiants look impressive especially since they are playing with out three of there key players. All American Holly Nonis will give this team some fire power when she returns. Congrats to Mville W Soccer for making the ncaa tournament. Although I am not sure how happy lang is he will be without these players for at least another week.

I completely agree, with the absence of 4 players Friday and 3 Saturday. This weekend will be a big test for Mville, can't wait for the results.

Re: ECAC East 2010-11

I agree with Valiant fan, I brought the broadcast of the Mville game and they struggled a bit against Nichols (tip my cap to the new coach), but the Valiants are definitly missing Nonis. Their test will come this weekend at Elmira. I saw they are doing a free audio broadcast from GoValiants.com.

Re: ECAC East 2010-11

Mville split@ Elmira (minus three of his top players not so bad) Can someone tell me why the freshman goalie played over Cote on Friday ??

I am sure Lang will be happy to get Nonis and Occhionero back this week.

Can someone also explain why Mville & Norwich only play once ??

Re: ECAC East 2010-11

Can you explain what the schedule parameters are - I'm always curious how schedules are built.

I'll have to ask Coach Bolding on the exact parameters of how it works since I'm not entirely sure how it does work.

I know that last year when MIT dropped the program the ECAC East said go out and schedule another game against any other ECAC East team to complete your league schedule. Manhattanville and Norwich jumped on the ball and got the added game against each other.

Re: ECAC East 2010-11

Didn't the ECAC East split into a couple divisions a couple of years ago (North-South). I think they play teams in their division twice and once in the other division. Then they fill in with OOC games or possibly a second game with a foe in the other division. There are not separate division standings.

Re: ECAC East 2010-11

Congrats to Holly Nonis for getting her 100th point on the weekend. I am sure Lang is happy she is back. Pretty impressive especially since she usually misses 4-5 games a year for soccer.
