ECAC D1 Women's Hockey 2014-15 Season

Re: ECAC D1 Women's Hockey 2014-15 Season

The HE thread is full of people picking Northeastern, which baffles me.
Through 39 minutes, they were right. Tied 1-1 after two, with Dartmouth on a PP to start the third.

Re: ECAC D1 Women's Hockey 2014-15 Season

Dartmouth explodes for four goals in the final period and defeats Northeastern, 5-1. NU was without Kendall Coyne, but Dartmouth didn't have leading scorer Laura Stacey.

Anyone know the story with SLU senior goaltender Carmen MacDonald? She didn't start against Minnesota State, but I wrote that off as Coach Wells saving her for the Gopher series. But she's not on the line sheet for today's game against Minny.

I forgot to cancel my Princeton Ive League Network subscription. Maybe I'll watch some of the Princeton-Yale game this afternoon. I'd just like to see how Phoebe Staenz is playing anyway :)

Did they change the rules regarding Game Misconducts? About halfway through the third in the Colgate vs Clarkson game Wildfang and MacAuley got matching minors and game misconducts and the refs had them sit in the penalty box until the game was over instead of sending them to the locker rooms. Lefler, who serves the bench minors, skated over and got into the box as soon as it was announced that there was a game misconduct but the refs sent her back to the bench and MacAuley and Wildfang stayed in the box until the game ended and were allowed to participate in the handshake.

According to the box score, they were 10-minute misconducts, not game misconducts. Because one team was already shorthanded at the time, the minors do not result in the teams skating with one fewer, so there is no need for anyone to come out of the box after 2 minutes. The penalized players would be eligible to rejoin the game after the next break after 12 minutes had elapsed -- which would have been conceivable had the game gone to OT.

Thanks ARM, they announced Game Misconduct at the game, that's why I was confused... The reffing that game was just all around bad so I wouldn't have put it past them to screw that up. They weren't calling anything early so the game got rough and out of hand very quickly.
