Kudo's for three members of the "bottom six" (Brown, Union and Clarkson) who rose up and upset their ranked or higher ranked opponents this Sunday.
Brown defeated #1 Providence 4-3
Clarkson defeated #12 Bowling Green 3-2 ending BGSU 14 game unbeaten streak at home
Union Defeated Robert Morse 5-4

We are still hoping that the other "bottom six" team that has a game tonight, Dartmouth, joins us, to make it a sweep.

Dartmouth looking good, up 3-0 late in the second. Too bad RPI was upset.

Congrats to Yale !!!! 3-2 over UMASS in overtime !!!! We are 23-17-4 against HE. I believe, that the best head to head against HE was 2013-2014 where we finished at exactly .500 after the Final 4. I believe that was the very best we have ever done. Someone correct me if I am wrong. The College Hockey News OOC stats continues right through the Final 4. We are at .620 In the pairwise, the ECAC retains 5 of the top 10 spots and 8 of the top 20 with RPI, Union and Dartmouth. Harvard is up next !!!!

Only a handfull of ECAC non-conference left after January 9th. If we finish strong AND Harvard takes care of business in the Bean Pot, we could catch NCHC and be in a good position to send more than our usual representation to the big dance.

Mapped in tomorrow's contests as well. After Sunday, the ECAC has, during the regular season, just three more NC games, two of which are the "Bean Pot". In the pairwise we have gone from 5 teams, in the top 10 to 4 teams with St. Lawrence dropping to 15th. ECAC Tournament play will also impact pairwise.

FlagDUDE: Only keeping track of NC against other conferences. Not following NC where the matchups are between teams in the same conference. This is what College Hockey News and USCHO do when they report interconference records.

We have 5 remaining Inter-conference matchups and it's a pretty safe bet we will finish the regular season over .600 for the first time. We didn't collapse during the break, as usual. :)
But wait, we have more to gloat about. :D
We are now 26-22-4 against HE, the premier college hockey league, with only four more regular season matchups. That means for the first time since the establishment of HE, we will have a better or equal regular season Interconference record (> = .500) !!!! against them. :D The last time we reached .500 was after tournament play. The final record will depend on the number of matches in the NCAA tournament.
But wait, we have something else to gloat about !!! :eek:
Look at the numbers since 2010. We have gone from 37 matchups with the AHA down to 18 (YTD) while at the same time have increased our head to head against HE from 24 to 52 (YTD). We have had all this success while the competition for those Inter-conference wins has gotten a lot tougher !!! :D

Great Job ECAC (formerly EZAC) !!!!! (or should I say Cup Cakes :D )

We are all pulling for Harvard to win the Bean Pot !!!!
