Easter 2010: Alleluia, Christ has risen!

Re: Easter 2010: Alleluia, Christ has risen!

Always the same with these Blame America First types.

Re: Easter 2010: Alleluia, Christ has risen!

Holy shiat! Glenn Beck is loose on USCHO!!!

Re: Easter 2010: Alleluia, Christ has risen!

Oh come on now, I am sure you have your biases and dislikes. The only difference between you and I, is that I will at least decry what bothers me about America.

"If you are not for gay marriage, you must be full of hate!" reads the neg rep I just recieved... by-product of faulty logic. I am not full of hate regarding gays. I have not physically hurt anyone, or denied them a job or housing. I would not have voted against them if a Gay Marriage Vote had come to fruition in Massachusetts! I probably would not have voted in favor of it though. However, I find what "they" do most revolting and disgusting; it is an unnatural act that serves no purpose (ie., reproduction). I find their disruptive antics and gross "showmanship" embarrassing for them and society.

No, I do not want to go back in time to just men voting, Jim Crowe, etc. You are all clueless what it means to be a Traditional American; ironically, and once again I feel as though I have to school you guys on Obama, who is a traditionalist himself... well, except for the fact he dropped his pastor and religion when it was hurting him in the campaign.

Honestly, what did you guys know about Obama when he was on the campaign trail? Beyond the Olbermann, Maddow, Matthews love-fest sound bites? I pride (no not gay pride) myself on the fact I knew what both men and parties were representing themseves during the campaign.

I didn't neg rep you. I never neg rep anyone. Theres a reason interracial marriage and the the struggle to legalize the practice are usually brought up as a parallel. The arguments the Southern States put forward against it had a lot of references to the "unnatural" nature of the act and how it subverted "traditional" American values and the harm it would do to children exposed to such unthinkable acts.

And showmanship? Most gay people I know live the same lives as the rest of us. Some of them had wild youths, much like a few suzy homemaker soccer moms who did lines off frat boy abs in college.

eaglehockey is far more sane. And sadly, less entertaining.

I'm sorry: I have a soft spot for Glenn Beck. His special on future scenarios where America will be destroyed is high comedy.

but why won't he deny the rumors that he raped and murdered a girl in 1990? :(

Re: Easter 2010: Alleluia, Christ has risen!

How bout criminalizing homosexuality?

ah, without that we may not have had the bj or the anal.. and those are both pretty fun (for the pitcher, that is it being my only experience. :p -though of course to play ball you need a catcher too;) LONG LIVE THE CATCHER!! )

Re: Easter 2010: Alleluia, Christ has risen!

If Jesus appeared to so many people after he rose from the dead, wouldn't you think these appearances would be noted by some contemporary, secular, witnesses?
Not necessarily...how many people knew how to write back in those days?

I am not the reason you do not follow organized religion, and I could careless what you think of my Traditional American values.

Hey, if you and your man friend want to hit it - go for it. Please wear a condom, as we do not need anymore pickles in hospitals with AIDS/HIV-1 especially with Obamacare in right around the corner. Hmm... then again, the government did create AIDS... makes you wonder! Not me though, I think it is God punishing 'them". ;)
You don't belong to the Westboro Baptist Church by chance, do you?

I still do! :D
Is that why he made you a mod? :D

Re: Easter 2010: Alleluia, Christ has risen!

I always loved this statement. So you wear powdered wigs & are a slave owner?
I wish I could own a slave....or a Canadian. How cool would that be?

Also, I hate most Americans. Oh, and whatever "traditional American values" are supposed to be. Who gets to decide this? Aren't American values such as money and power traditional?

eaglehockey reminds me a bit of my grandfather. Of course my grandfather was traditionalist in that he couldn't understand why his grandaughter would study engineering, work for a living, and not be married by the age of 27.

So, I will use one of my favorite quotes from my father and grandfather's political arguements:

"You're dreaming [insert traditionalist's name here], those days are over"

It's 2010. If you find homosexuality disgusting, oh well. You can't stop people from loving each other. I find idiots reproducing disgusting (I define idiot reproduction as having excessive amounts of children, children one cannot afford to take care of, or having unwanted/unplanned children). Unfortunately, I can't change those lifestyles.
Seriously, when can we start using my tax dollars to sterilize morons?

A good deal could. Especially any kind of official in the gov't. In Pompeii they've uncovered a lot of very vulgar graffiti and that was after jesus. Some of it is freaking hilarious.

http://www.pompeiana.org/Resources/Ancient/Graffiti from Pompeii.htm

Someone who is raising the dead, feeding thousands with nothing, walking on water, preaching to a huge group on a mountain top, and so on, would have some kind of mention about them. I forgot the name of the intense period of xtians searching for and creating evidence, probably around the same time that the shroud of turin was created. (1260-1390)

No kidding. If you added up the net weight of all the pieces of wood claimed to have been from the original cross that are on display in European churches, you'd probably have a cross that would've taken a fair to mid-size T crane to lift into place...

Re: Easter 2010: Alleluia, Christ has risen!

I am not a fan of Glenn Beck, and I believe he is Fox's answer to Keith Olberman: lots of overdone facial expressions, ranting, inflection/changes of tone, seriousness on the verge of tears, acting whacky and crazy. Too many antics for my liking. I find both smug and unlikeable, and I do not get their message because they are both unlikeable characters to me. I watch BullD Maddow, Asskiss Mathews and Bothsides O'Reilly - they are all interesting. However, Fox is doing something right, as the majority of Americana watch Fox shows over MSNBC or CCN combined, the ratings proven that monthly.

I never heard the "rumor" that Glenn Beck raped/killed a girl... sounds a lot like a bunch of malarkey to me, but then again the Kennedy clan have been getting away with rape and murder for decades so nothing surprises me anymore. "If" the rumor were true, though, you'd think the lefties would bring all of this to light to law enforcement so they can get Beck off of the air. Sounds like an urban legend to me.

Moveon.org is runing a big campaign against Glenn Beck, right to all of his advertisers! The one thing that bothers me the most is the left seeming wants to squash the 1st amendment rights of the right, ala Beck and Tea Baggers. However, when the left uses their "Grass Roots" organizations any opposition is labeled as racism, bigotry, hatred, etc. pick your victim card du jour.

The double standards on the left are amazing, as is the acceptability of the left's errs in the current media. They never would have let Bushie get away with what Obama gets away with (Obama appears to be just as much of an idiot as Bush was off of the teleprompter, yet the press claim him as some sort of, "... genious too smart for America" - B. Walters).

For the record, no, I do not belong to the Westborough Baptist Church. However, I respect their 1st amendment right. I do not respect their antics and disruption of military funerals. I do not go out of my way to make gay's life bad, as they have it bad enough. I, like any other human being, have opinions, experiences, perceptions, and biases. I just happen to be vocal about them unlike others who remain silent here - to say everyone likes/accepts X group/person/organization would be a bold faced lie. Policital correctness and apologists have ruined America, and its people, to the point of no return; a person cannot have opinions, likes or dislikes without offending someone to the point of being considered a crime. America has been pussyfied.

Plurality, not majority. Fox is more popular than MSNBC or CNN in the way that Harvard has won an NCAA title more recently than RPI or Cornell.

Well I am not marketing major, but I would guess that the ratings majority is what keeps advertising dollars around. This is still, sort of, a country based on capitalism.

The ratings are very clear that Fox dominates all cable news networks... even Palin's show is ranked 1500 points higher than Maddow/Olbermann. Quite honestly, I think Palin's show is rather boring.

We have this discussion every year when we complain that ESPN does a crappy job with the Frozen Four.

Every year we are admonished that this is a niche sport and we should be happy we get any attention.

And every year I point out that the general public enjoys watching what they enjoy watching and could not give a flying Matt Cooke what gets "ratings". Because the general American consumer has the intelligence of a grapefruit.

Re: Easter 2010: Alleluia, Christ has risen!

II respect their 1st amendment right.

I respect the rights of gay rights protesters, US servicemen and women and mourners at funerals to beat Fred Phelps to death with a shoe Mike Milbury style.

But it would be so easy for him to prove that he did not and his silence on it speaks volumes.

No no, the acts of .001% of them in gay pride parades in representative of the entire population, just like we should perceive all straight couples on what happened at spring break beach parties.

(And can we move this all to a thread that isn't supposed to simply be about Easter?)

So the science of Market Indicators means nothing to you. Ehh, hoops and football gets all of the attention. Of course in this forum you'll hear people cry the blues like Billie Holiday that ESPN screws it all up for Men's Hockey. Face it even Women's Hoops gets more national attention, advertising dollars, and merchandise sales dollars than college hockey. So what, isn't the game about the student-athlete, you grapefruit?! :D

LOL, great "parody" website/blog. Come on if that claim were seriously legitimate how come the law hasn't spoke to him? Statute of limitations never runs out on murder, in all fifty states.

Are you one of those 9/11 conspiracy guys too, they have a nice website as well. After all, Bush ordered the CIA to take down the twin towers!!! And Building 7 too, canot forget #7. I saw it on the internet, so it must be true! LOL. :D :D :D :D Are you wearing your tin foil hat, or are you just out to wreck Beck's reputation (which I think he'll do himself in anyways with his mouth)?!

I'ma betting you're-a tin foil hat soldier. ;)
