Back On topic though, it looks like DU may be missing 2/3's of thier second line.

That is a possibility as 2nd line center Jesse Martin suffered an undisclosed injury in Tuesday's practice and is questionable for Friday. My guess is that he plays. Anthony Maiani, one of the wings, on the 2nd line is definitely out. The 1st line is fully intact as is the 3rd. Gwoz may go with 11 forwards and 7 d on Friday with d-man Chris Nutini returning from an injury and Martin not in the line-up. If Martin can go I assume he would probably dress 12 and 6. Sounds like Martin will be a game time decision tomorrow afternoon.

FYI, DU fan section is 122. I won't be there tomorrow but if DU makes it to Saturday I will be there.

All I hear about on TV is Cornell basketball. Hasn't anyone told them about the hockey team? :o

If imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, Cornell fans should be very flattered by the RIT fans' cheers.

Over the last two years, RIT has adopted a good deal of the Cornell repertoire. Good and bad (I'm sick of the thanking the One minute left in the period announcer at both schools). Now if they would only get rid of the canned music (Why? They have a band.) and continual announcements . . .

You can also go to unhwildcats.com, they have a link to listen to the UNH radio guys, who do a GREAT job -- if you're looking for streaming audio.

Homer!!! Parkhurst does a great job, Webster leaves something left to be desired...

Latest reports from Albany are that DU's Chris Nutini participated in the full practice and is likely a go tomorrow. Jesse Martin did not practice but is also likely to play tomorrow.

Parkhurst is doing the Northeast Regionals in Worcester for ESPNU, I would imagine Nate Bridges would fill in, and not sure if Pete would make it due to his school commitments...

We've been doing the "Thank you" thing for years. (Even had an announcer say "You're welcome" once!) In fact, most of our stuff has been around for a while. Can't say we didn't steal it from Cornell, though. :D

Yeah, these cheers get around. I went to a Utica College game when I was home for the holidays this past year. I think they learned a thing or two from RIT. (From our DIII days.)

I agree about the announcements. But hey, I can live with them if they are keeping prices relatively low.

How has Fr. Chris Knowlton been for you guys this yr?

Knowlton has been a pleasant surprise. He didn't play much in the first half of the season but has been a regular in the line-up since then. Although he doesn't have a lot of points he is a strong skater and has impressed the coaching staff with his hard-nosed play. He has earned a spot on the 3rd line and was actually on the 2nd line in practice today. If Jesse Martin plays tomorrow Chris will be on the 3rd line.

I like Parkhurst, he's good.

HE crowds were doing that cheer a decade (or more) before we picked it up. I have no idea who originated it.

We're big dorks at UNH and call our scorekeeper out by name.

As did the Gophers ("Hey Jamie, how much time is left?"). Pretty common cheer out west, know that I never heard it at the Alfond until after we started doing it.
