Re: East is Primelink / West is MCHA/NCHA the two will meet in Lake Placid. SCORES!!
Brendan Sanders make it 1-0 Elmira by taping home a rebound on the doorstep with 13:23 left in the first period.
Great action so far between Elmira and Middlebury.
Lots of good chances for both teams. Darren McDonald maybe with the save of the year just minutes into the game robbing a Middlebury forward on the doorstep with a diving glove save cross crease.
Elmira makes it 2-0 as Martin Lee slaps a shot from the blueline past Yanchek.

Regan Maclean makes it 3-0 Elmira.
11:48 left to go in the first period.
Unreal. Elmira with three goals in a 1:25...
Middlebury hasn't even played awful. They have had some tremendous scoring chances including McDonald robbing a Midd forward and Chris Brown hitting the post for the Panthers too.

6 minutes to play in regulation.
EC leads 3-2. Middlebury has really been pouring it on this period trying frantically to get the equalizer.
Little note from earlier today, Norwich's 3-0 shutout win over Plattsburgh was the first time the Cadets shutout Plattsburgh since a 4-0 win over the Cardinals on Jan. 11, 2000.

Elmira holds on for a 3-2 win!
Middlebury outshoots Elmira 31-23.
Darren McDonald with an outstanding effort for Elmira to keep Middlebury at bay while they were throwing everything including the kitchen sink at the Soaring Eagles.

Hmmm....Norwich/Plattsburgh looked like a better match of well conditioned teams then did Midd/Elmira. Does this mean that the final will be uninspiring?
