Dump Term 2, Part 2: "A third term would be a big shattering."

Meanwhile...in the real world:

Colbert on HBO would be amazing. And truth be told Zazlov is that vindictive and he was the original bidder on the Paramount deal trying to merge the two. They chose Skydance...

Best part of all of this is, the deal hasn't gone through yet and even if Trump signs off the Hollywood Teamsters are suing over the deal. And lets be honest, Trump could still nix it just cause he is a pr!ck. Personally now I hope that happens.
The big thing is nothing will ever be enough. They’ll just keep demanding more and more to placate them. Wouldn’t be surprised to see Paramount drop the WNBA and NWSL next.

Agreed...this is the same game Putin played when he took power. Trump will turn CBS into state TV. Mulvaney is already involved with CBS News.

Still crazy to me that Paramount is justifying it by saying its a financial decision. Maybe if he was losing the Late Night battle I could see it but he is smoking Fallon and like 25% higher in the ratings than Kimmel. Wait 6 months and say that after his contract ends next year they are ending Late Night (that is what Colbert is saying) and you get almost no backlash. Playing that game now makes it obvious what you are doing and you have no deniability.

Skydance is playing the odds...they know the audience for most of their prime time lineup is old people who watch shows like NCIS (aka Boomers) so they are banking on them being Trumpers. Courting the Right Wing crowd always works well ask the Times, The Post, CNN, NPR, PBS, ESPN...

It's not about the expense, it's about them having an orgasm over their merger which will get their elite business team their huge bonuses and end up firing a bunch of other people. So sick of American business being all about acquisition and mergers and nothing of substance.

They get their bonuses anyways...why do you think Paramount is bankrupt they are run by morons.

It is ironic that the network that pioneered the rural purge to chase the urban demographic is now trying to go after the rural demographic.

Maybe they assume the rurals can only afford OTA networks and so they figure CBS will get them? Wait until the rurals find out there are free networks that show all their favorite shows with none of the news stuff ;)

Of course the rurals will all be dead because of lack of weather coverage, loss of hospitals and farm failures so...

Larry Ellison. That explains a lot.

So glad to see that CBS is at least consistent in firing comedians who mock the President. Colbert can ruminate with The Smothers Brothers.

CBS did replace the Smothers Brothers with Hee Haw, so I can't wait to see what Midwestern Christofascist programming Paramount green lights...

Big city Texas evangelicals move to small town Wisconsin - "Little House on the Praire du Chen."

College graduate moves to rural prairie state to get medical school loans forgiven - "Dr. Quinn, Choctaw Medicine Woman."

"NCIS Dade-Collier County." (Obvious)

Dean Cain stars as a sheriff and home body of a blink-and-you-miss-it town in "Mayberry, South Dakota." Kid Rock guest stars as Otis the town drunk. Bill Engvall has a bit roll as the town's smart aleck gas station owner. Gets a spin-off series in '27 where he finds out his discharge papers never were submitted properly when he was younger, has to complete his military service as a platoon leader. It's McHale's Navy meets Afganistan.

"Blue Boods" renewed for another decade.

"All in the Family" but a complete 180 where John Voight yells the N-word four times an episode without learning a lesson and his liberal kid gets treated like shit the entire series.

"Fraser" for a third time, this time as a conservative intellectual professor at the University of Illinois Chicago. Dangerous Minds as a "comedy" with retro 90s racist comedic tropes.

Tim Allen in an American "Corner Gas" based in rural Georgia/Tennessee. Wait, this might just be a re-packaged "Last Man Standing" series.
