Its not just the oceans, its the technology. There just isn't a way they would be able to do it stealthily enough...

Terrorism is easy now though. Wear some cop like colors, buy a cosplay SWAT outfit and a mask and you can go anywhere and do anything. That is where we are screwed.

We have literally the dumbest fucking people on Earth running our country. Trump’s bathroom qualifies as stealthy enough now.
 
Those dumb people aren't the people who need to be paying attention. Since they wont ever cut the military budget we will be fine.

They are rearranging military and intelligence spending priorities. The money will be drained from the unsexy but vital programs and pushed onto the highly public, obsolete, behemoth projects that make a dictator think he looks important. Not to mention the ratio of money that actually reaches the real work will crater while waste, fraud, and abuse run rampant.

Authoritarian states spend grossly inefficiently on yesterday's technology and ignore all the subtle soft power amplifiers that actually keep us safer. We are wide open to attack with these clowns manipulating budget authorization and allocation. And they don't learn so every event will deepen the feedback spiral.

And that's just money and tech. The purges of military and intelligence experts who think Double Plus Ungood thoughts are even more damaging. Stalin's purges were the best gift the Wehrmacht ever got.

You can see it already in the pushback on the intelligence that said Donnie's little flex bombing did nothing to curtail Iran's nuke capability. Anyone who speaks to that fact, or aligns with that report will be brushed aside, ignored, eliminated, and replaced by people saying "damn tight we obliterated anything that moved there. There's nothing left"

Pretty soon, our entire intelligence services and military upper command are going to run by people like that, anyone willing to parrot the official Dear Leader propaganda.

No one with any actual capability or understanding what is actually happening will be long gone. Or completely ignored. That's when the shit hits the fan, and we'll have no capability to prevent, or even know it's coming.

The shocker is that they really are going forward with killing F-35, which should have been your poster child for "highly public, obsolete, behemoth projects." Recommended buy in the president's 2026 budget is just 47 deliveries next year, down from a projected 74. Back when I was on the program, we were all pulling our hair out trying to figure out how we could possibly scale to 30 deliveries per month. Well - bullet dodged.
 
So is ICE really just flying deportees out over the ocean and throwing them out of the plane to their deaths? Video shows ICE detainees being loaded on onto aircraft designed to do that, and people have seen those planes dip below radar level once over the ocean.
