God damnit I hate being right...

Anyone who didn't vote for Harris is a Nazi. Full stop. And yes that includes a poster who I guess showed up around here after the election (when I was on break) bragging he voted for Stein. If you voted third party, history will remember you as being partly responsible for all of this. I can take your mediocre hockey takes on GPL but your political takes are straight trash and I hope the Dildo of Consequences comes for you.

I don't expect people to remember everything I post, so no need to apologize. My intent in adding that sentence was not to seek an apology, but in case anyone wanted to go back and search. I can tell them two specific conversations where it was discussed.

If people want to accuse me of being smug or condescending, sure I can see that. If people want to claim that I have posted opinions that people tend to overreact to events that happen, or that I believe our institutions will protect us, I absolutely posted those opinions.

But people use that, and run with it miles beyond my original statements.

Yeah, we knew that. We knew that all along. I'm about 13 years away from SS and I need it for my retirement plan which goes under water if I do not get it. Although the way the market is right now under Trump if it stays that way this year I will be under water period.

I do not think I will see a dime. it's going to disappear. Democrats are so feckless they will not be able to stop it, or for that matter take power again.
 
They've also changed the rules so if SS overpays a recipient, they can now claw back the full amount paid, rather than just the amount overpaid.

I suspect you're going to see a lot of overpayments over the next year, and they'll use that as proof that "see, it's rife with fraud".

But the only reason they're overpaying in the first place is just so they can end up not paying benefits.

I guess we have also stopped giving a shit about what Russia has done with Ukrainian children. At this point we should just become Russia's 51st state.
