Pam Bondi has announced that the DOJ has filed charges against the State of New York, Kathy Hochul, Letitia James, and Mark Schroeder. Because... reasons? We don't need to stinkin' reasons.

Except it's a civil lawsuit, so not charges, which apparently the Attorney General does not understand.

Even if we are to assume some of the military thinks for itself (it doesnt) anyone who defies orders (even legally) will be fired or worse branded as a traitor and locked up/executed. Military Police will be like ICE...arrest first and (maybe) ask questions later...only in the case of the military there is no one watching the watchers.

There is nothing new under the sun dx...Trump is following a literal paint by numbers fascist overthrow. The second dissent rears its ugly head he either cuts it off or uses some faux attack to start a war. If the military didnt coup over Vietnam or Iraq it wont now.

There is an entire multilayer bureaucracy beneath him that will resist changes because its existence is tied to that bureaucracy surviving. Even if you peel that top layer off, there are a dozen layers beneath and they all take orders from their commanding officer.

The military absolutely thinks for itself. Thats just not even debatable. Everyone in the officer corps has learned more about philosophy than you and I combined on top of the rest of their education. The knuckle dragging chuds are not the majority in the officer corps. They're closer to milley than hegseth.

There's zero chance of this happening. Nada. If the military perceives Trump as a threat, they won't hesitate.

Dump can't even get them to stop treatment for gender dysphoria. They declined.

Department of Justice suing New York, top officials over immigration policies

Pam Bondi said in her remarks, the DOJ was "filing charges" against the state and top officials, though she later clarified the department was filing suit over the state's "green light laws."

Apparently (and I assumed it might have been related when the DMV was mentioned) it's about the immigration policies of NY, and how there's a law that says that local police cannot share driver info with ICE.
