I saw on Bluesky that Lauren Boebert was seen getting into a taxi with Kid Rock at 2:30am. There's a match made in heaven. She's so lucky that she gets to hook up with one of the next Kennedy Center honorees!

Yup. Same tactic the GOP has been running since Reagan...break it, defund it, make it no longer viable then use that as proof that the Government doesn't work and get rid of it.

Only this is much worse because the people in charge of the destruction aren't doing it slowly, they are lighting the whole thing on fire right before our very eyes. I mean one of the clowns who stole all the treasury info was fired from a previous job for stealing all their secured info, trying to sell it to a competitor and then threatening to delete it all.

I think he means people funding their own retirements.

Which makes him unaware of how many people either have not, or cannot, fund their own retirement.

Yep. It has been the most successful poverty prevention program ever. And they have wanted to destroy it since FDR and it took till now for the Democrats to roll over and let them.

Which is to say, the guardrails this country had worked just fine when government was operating as it had for years (ICE vehicles weighing 3000 lbs). They did their job redirecting the vehicle and occasional broke but were fixed and if not, there were consequences (the jersey barrier).

This administration is the 8,000 lb Rivian aiming for the guardrails and jersey barrier. Neither are gonna do shit to slow down the runaway behemoth, and a new tactic is needed.
 
There are going to be lots of destitute Boomtards wandering our streets and open fields when they end Soc and Medicare. I, for one, cannot wait to spit on them and tell them to get a fucking job. It's the America they wanted, after all.

And if they phase it out while keeping it for current recipients, I will be sure to loudly complain at every opportunity about all the FREELOADING SOCIALISTS whose housing and bread I'm stuck paying for, and why can't the privileged geriatrics just hurry up and die already?!

I am all for it. I want none of my tax dollars helping any Red State or even the Purple ones that shifted this time.

Speaking of taxes...now that Trump is going to use the IRS agents to fight immigration what incentive do I have to actually file my taxes? Asking for millions of people in Blue States.
 
Based on what we've seen so far in less than a month the one thing we know for sure is the new Executive Branch does not believe any other branch has any power, and doesn't care if they do.

Today he is whining about Judges blocking efforts to "cut government waste".

Well, last I checked the executive branch does not have anything to do with budgets except vetoing legislation. And since all of the legislation that is spending money right now was already passed by Congress he doesn't have any power and shouldn't.

And since this current Congress and Supreme Court doesn't care about what he does he ultimately will be successful in destroying the United States.
