And they are firing staffers that comply with the judges order.

I am all for it. I want none of my tax dollars helping any Red State or even the Purple ones that shifted this time.

Speaking of taxes...now that Trump is going to use the IRS agents to fight immigration what incentive do I have to actually file my taxes? Asking for millions of people in Blue States.
 
Based on what we've seen so far in less than a month the one thing we know for sure is the new Executive Branch does not believe any other branch has any power, and doesn't care if they do.

Today he is whining about Judges blocking efforts to "cut government waste".

Well, last I checked the executive branch does not have anything to do with budgets except vetoing legislation. And since all of the legislation that is spending money right now was already passed by Congress he doesn't have any power and shouldn't.

And since this current Congress and Supreme Court doesn't care about what he does he ultimately will be successful in destroying the United States.
 
This made me smile...mainly because the idea of a Canadian saying this makes me happy!

Yup. That is why the idea of "the people will rise up to fight" is laughable...by the time the people care enough to fight the military will have purged all dissidents and will be at the whim of Trump.

Where your line of thought fails is that a military coup is not going to be stopped by firing a general. It will just... happen.

Where your line of thought fails is you think the military will have a reason to. The grunts follow orders and the orders will be given by people loyal to Trump.

Even if we are to assume some of the military thinks for itself (it doesnt) anyone who defies orders (even legally) will be fired or worse branded as a traitor and locked up/executed. Military Police will be like ICE...arrest first and (maybe) ask questions later...only in the case of the military there is no one watching the watchers.

There is nothing new under the sun dx...Trump is following a literal paint by numbers fascist overthrow. The second dissent rears its ugly head he either cuts it off or uses some faux attack to start a war. If the military didnt coup over Vietnam or Iraq it wont now.
